How did you know I was lazy and a liar. (Lol) Al kidding aside, there are many reasons why someone might not attend meeting, The two resons you have posted are just part of a long list of reasons. Wlecome back to the Canadian forums Lara. Lara, I like that name!!

Could be, for some anyway, but not for me. I've been across three of the western provinces several times in the last couple years, west coast to that sea of wheat and canola we call Asskatchewan.
I have met people from the site, quite a few actually, and although it might be akward meeting someone new, I've never worried about what they might think of me. I'm me, pretty much the same on here or in person, for better or worse.

First off, I don't wanna know what happened in the hermit's shack, and second, I don't like crowds, never have.

In general that might be true, but I don't mind visitors, and I have absolutely no travel plans in the near future.

having met the kid...i can vouch...he's the same in person in real life and has no problem speaking his mind...

There has to be a reason as to why meetings don't materialize.

Hey Lara, in all fairness, this country of our is a large piece of real estate.To travel from the west coast to the east coast can be more expensive than flying to another country(ex. England, Mexico,etc.)There are many people that cannot afford to travel the country for a meet. And of course us being called the Tumbleweed Forums, there are many Canadaaians here that do not get involved noticeably on the forums. If there was a meet here I would think that there might only be a few to make it happen. Quite and reserved we Canucks are.
