FINALY!!!!

As some of you already knew. Me and others in my appartment building had not had any hot water since December 22nd. We tried calling the landlord and left numerous phone messages and we didn't hear back from not even once.

Finaly I got sick and tired of all the bullshit and called our local rentalsman for advice. He was quite disgusted to say the least and called our landlord and left him a message. He also told me to call the company who dealt with our hot water tank and have them send a technician over to fix the issue and to give the landlords name and if the landlord had any issues with that that I had to phone him again and he would deal with the landlord himself. So it was nice to finaly get someone.

Anywho at first I thought it was through the power company that we dealt with the hot water. So I phone there and give the address and landlords name etc..The idiot on the phone told me they will send a technician right away. almost 4 hours later nothing. So I call back the power company and spoke to a different guy who told me that our hot water thank was not through them. So why in the F didn't the first guy told me that in the first place instead of making me wait like an idiot. I was furious at that point. So I called the old owner of the building and thankfuly he still had the info and files on the building and maintenance etc...So they gave me the company name (it was via propane not electric). I called the company (Irving) and they have sent someone to check on things right away. They are here now and checking. I just hope the heck we get our hot water back tonight.

I know the landlord will probably not be pleased with me but as I told my other neighboors that I didn't give a crap because he is not my friend but just rents me the appartment and as long as we have to pay for the freaking hot water. It was HIS responsibility and he had to suffer the consequences. Hopefuly the landlord will know better and have someone around for these emergencies next time and stop acting like a total nitwit!

Anywho just thought I would update you all on what has been going on. Our old owner of the appartments could not believe that we had been living on no hot water for almost 8 days. She was quite disgusted too to say the least.

Oh and guess what. As I was boiling water to fill the tub to give my kids a much needed bath. Two of my burners on the stove now don't work. I will pity the landlord when he gets here and sees how happy I am NOT!!! very mad

Oh don't worry I did report him to my local rentalsman and did file a complaint and the rentalman did tell me he called and left the landlord a not so nice message.

Also can't wait to hear the reaction of the landlord when he comes back to a nice big fat bill for the new parts on the hot water tanks courtousy of me. devil

A few other neighboors told me they are not paying full rent for this. I have the full rent stored away and will be calling my rentalsman again on tuesday to find out what I should do. I want to make sure I have legal rights before taking part of the rent know what I mean? I know the landlord dosn't deserve the whole rent for this but I still don't want to have to go through legal crap either.

Thank you everyone for your advice and kind words and prayers and wishes.

We still have hot water thank goodness. I keep turning the hot water tap on to make sure its still working LOL

And I had me a nice hot bubble bath last night. Sure felt great. Was also nice to be able to clean the appartment. I can't stand a filthy place. Drives me nuts!

I can't wait to see the landlords reaction when he gets home from his vacation to find a nice big fat bill for the parts of the water tank from Irving LOL
