I support our troops %100. But we have no business being in Afghanistan. I urge everyone to show their support by writing letters to newspapers and their MPs to get our troops out of that quagmire as soon as possible. Don't let another one of our brave soldiers and families to suffer a vain useless death!

As sad as it sounds.. and maybe mean .. people join the army for a reason .. there may be a chance they hve to go to war.. or fight for something they dont believe in.. I dont believe theyshould be there..and I dont believethey shouldnt.. all I know is .. we need to support them either way.

I support our men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. My Mom was in the Air Force for a bit, and my Dad retired from the Air Force a few years ago, and I have a brother in the Navy and a boyfriend in the Army....

No matter if you support the war or not.. the men and women who are putting their lives on the line everyday away from home NEED our support. This is their career. They go where they are sent...Be it War or Peace Keeping.

Do we have to call in the ARMY to keep the Peace on this Thread!!

Peace Out Everyone!!

Christine

Here's the thing.. Anyone who sits there and bashes the Canadian Military is a very sadly misguided soul. These men and women go out there day after day trying to make peace. A few years back there were 3 innocent canadians killed by the careless Americans and the lack of knowing where to drop a bomb!! You should all feel proud and secure knowing that there are brave caring people out there that would go to war for you and leave their families and friends and everything to try and keep this country safe for all of us!! Here's one for you... Before you ever try and diss these wonderful people try and make it one day in their shoes... IF you make it through the first day of basic training you might actually stand a chance at any kind of respect.. Otherwise.. go live in Afganistan and see how you like it there...frustrated

I am totally behind our Canadian Armed Forces and hope that the new deal for the C-17's from Boeing does not get mired in political quicksand, like our once in a lifetime Icebreaker deal in the 1980's.
In the past as Canadians, we always tend to develop great technology but although for some odd reason when it reaches the political house on the hill we all lose out. Our biggest scar in Canada is still the Avro Arrow and Brian Mulroney.
But throughout it all I LOVE CANADA and am proud to be CANADIAN peace

Dear Travis:

I am proud that you can stand up and be one of the few who protect our flag. Political posturing aside, I stand behind our troops of the men an women who serve our country. Be proud my young friend

Sincerely,

James Erasmus
