A Woman's Garage...

For the first time, I now have a garage I can call my own... 2 doors, and 2 windows, insulated, and ready for a furnace, it has the potential to be a very different space for me. I can already see a number of house projects going on in there besides being a space to park my baby.

Of course, not the top of the list for decorating ideas, it will need to have a feminine touch. Besides posters of scantily clad men, what do you think I could do to make it a... Woman's Garage?

Put up a peg board for tools and actually use itrolling on the floor laughing just for the love of God...no pink tools.laugh wave
One thing that can be fun and useful if u like refinishing furniture,is to find an old sideboard (buffet) do it over and use it as storage.

No worries, Curly. Although I have joked about that one, I've done the pink thing with my hockey gear already. Pink hockey gloves and a pink hockey stick. Believe it or not, all the young boys were jealous! laugh

Pink is a popular colour with young guys these days. Likely to the dismay of homophobic fathers! sticking out tongue

You truly want it to look like a womans garage, huh ? Well kid, here's what you do

1) Take a sledgehammer to the door frame until split
2) Smash ALL of the windows out of it
3) Leave large amounts of skid marks infront of the garage
and finally
4) A crushed garbage can at the end of the driveway

Trust me, no one will ever doubt that this is truly a womans garage.
End of lesson

charlieGirl...did you put curtains on the windows...that would make it look and feel like a ladies garage.
paint the door that goes from the garage into your house a pretty colour...and no not pink, thats just to girlie.
organization is the key cause most men dont have that, they just lay everything, everywhere lol
you also need a drill nad l mean a man drill, not one of those little cordless ones...
ok hope thats a few suggestions that work

Oh Brew...

That's a man's garage after a woman has been in it... and there is definitely more to the story than meets the eye!!! laugh

I think I've been on the opposite side of that lesson! Well, maybe not that much... wow!

Nope, no curtains on the window yet. That would definitely be a woman's garage. The door is a beautiful merlot wine colour... same as the doors to the house. thumbs up

Organization, absolutely! Once my winter projects are over... how did you know about my cordless drill? Does the cord make the difference? Hmmmm, I'm seeing some parallels here... rolling on the floor laughing laugh

What about
Motivational & Inspirational Quotes painted on the walls or vintage signs – no pink – but what about terracotta as a feature wall!! Of course from a person with a style that can be described as Spanish Mission/Mexican folk art you may want to think twice about this advice wink

Happy to hear you are enjoying your place

Yes, I know. It's a mess! dunno

It's hard to keep it clean when you've got so many projects on the go. uh oh! Note to self... heed the "Keep it Clean" sign on the garage door!

Put all the moving boxes in the attic. Line up all the shutters to be painted. Fill up those clear containers with all the fix it stuff all over the place. Clean up all the painting garbage. Make room for the car!

Life is never boring...

Cordless is the way to go with all your tools, screwdriver, etc. and gas-powered lawn mower - no electrical cords allowed.

Turned this all into a great outdoor party room once the work was all done with tunes, cooler, lawn chairs, etc. Clean enough to eat off the floor. Not quite! laugh

Who needs a garden gazeebo when you've got your own garage! lol!
