when a man pursues you so much, buys you things, tells you he loves you totally and wants to commit, finally breaks you down to commit to living together, and then when you do commit, he gets cold feet, changes his mind and leaves you high, dry, and heartbroken...

I'm sure it will take some time to sift through and learn what lessons are in the situation for you... there are no easy answers in pushing through to the other side.

That sounds like me in 2004. In 2003 I had met a man off of Lavalife and things were fantastic. He did like you just described. Even bugged me to move out of my hometown to his town and with him with my son. Did that and not even a year later he out of the blue decides to end the relationship and kicks me and my son out.

Was I upset? Hell ya!! I was furious!!! And get this. A few months later after I move to another city a few hours away and with all the hassles of relocating with my son and everything he had the nerve to beg for us to move back. Pfffft I told him to shove it where the sun don't shine and to never contact us again! I wasn't going to do that stupid mistake again. I also find out not long after I move that he had been cheating on me with multiple women while he was traveling (He was a traveling business man) So go figure!

Sorry that happened to you (if it did..I assume by your post it must have) It will take time. Broken hearts are never easy. Just take it easy and take your time to heal.

comfort hug

I would say count your lucky stars that you found out sooner rather than later.

My cousin has a plate on his wall (wonder if the silverware is on the celing) and on it, it reads, "Man chases women, til she catches him".
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo true if you think about it, not that I'm complaining, because I'm not, but I also believe in that statement, so ladies...CATCH ME QUICK

Well me personally I would buy a good bottle of wine and some candles. Lock Myself in the bathroom and have a very long bubble bath and drown myself in my sorrows with a good bottle! LOL laugh pretty soon the bottle and the heat will cancel everything else out.

i have found out that most people are just out to get what they can from you.
there are some good people still out there. i know it hurts alot. but we do get over it with time. this may sound mean but it will make you stronger in the long run.
you are not a lone and i wish you all the best in the future . so be strong for you and your son.
