Yup. Chalets can be fun. Tobagganing can even be better! Skis you are by yourself dodging trees as you gaze upon her, tobanning you are there with her as you slam into that pine tree!

Banff,....damn, lucky you! Great spot! Been there lots,...but geography makes me a Jasper dude. Gotta love Highway 93! Those that ain't been, don't know what they are missing!

So, what ya do to pull down a paycheck?

Definition of Snowboarding:

BORED ON SNOWrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I love that one, but my son, an amazing snowboarder, just.... goesrolling eyes

On easier slopes, I find snowboarding to be definitely more satisfying, but overall skiing is the way I like to go most times.

Right now I'm using Dynastar Cross 10's, with Look PX-14s on Lifters. It's an all-mountain ski. 170 cm length, with a 14-metre turn radius.

What a package! These are like $1200 skis. I got them for $300 US, distributor blow out 2 years ago.

my boots are Salomon X-Wave 6.

I'm dying to try the Head iSupershape Magnum, a high perfmance multi-condition ski. Read a lot about it. But they're fricken $1500!! OMG

Hey TNM!

Do not fear the $$$ when it comes to the planks you strap to your feet!! Gravity is POWERFUL stuff, and the "quality" you place between your feet and the hill DOES make a difference, especially when the mph starts to climb!! You get what you pay for, and your entire being will thank you as you miss that tree!

Whoa mrgiggles!!!

Never, ever count the "Riders" out!!! I have to admit that some of the BEST times of my life have been in the stands in Regina (Taylor Field if I can recollect proper!) with those lunatic, stubble-jumping, sasquatch-humping, half-naked at 30 below, FANS!!! And they even let me live wearing an ESKS jersey!!

So do you live in Banff proper, or do you own some mansion on Mt. Rundle?

Da Moose

PS - The only reason I "pick" on Saskabush is cuz they are great people who love ta laff!

I tried skiing once and was pretty good at it. Halfway down the hill I was riding on my nose. Did a couple of 360's and sure enough...right back on my nose for the rest of the hill. Never hit a tree yet and I'll never do it again.
