Does anyone have easy recipes that kids will eat for lunch or supper. The hotdog just sits on the plate, just the bread is eaten in sandwitch, soup is like a four letter word.crying

I would suggest that you ask the kids a list of foods that they like, and get them involved in the preparation. I have to say that a hot dog sitting on a plate doesn't sound very interesting ...... so I'd suggest searching some sites for easy recipes. Kids love food that tastes good - just like us. Sometimes they also enjoy "raw" veggies as opposed to cooked. Try experimenting and have fun.

Along with involvement in preparation and "presentation", I also find that sometimes it is as simple as "postponing" the meal a bit,....who says noon is lunchtime? Let them play awhile longer, thereby building up their appetites! Amazing what a kid, or and adult for that matter, will eat when they are hungry! MTCW

depends on the age of the kids...

have them make thier own mini pizzas

something very easy --- use flatbread and spread cream cheese (I use vegetable) the chop up what they like and sprinkle on. mushrooms, black olives, broccoli, peppers, some crumbled bacon, shredded cheese
cut into slices. <<<< great way to get them to eat veggies

another easy - quick and kid likeable - meat cheese pickles crackers.
managable for them

and anything dippable -- slice the weiner and insert a toothpick - offer a few different dips --

really it's about getting them to eat with out a hassle -

I have to agree with langlygirl on this one regarding raw vegetables.....my Daughter would never eat them cooked.....but raw....with a ranch dressing dip.....the platter is cleaned

And broccoli and other greens....a real tough one for kids.....I cover in melted cheese whiz....she loves it

my kids like mini pizzas too and raw veggies just disappear! if they will not eat their sandwiches, I just roll up the sandwich meat and stick a toothpick through it! then they eat them right up!
apple slices with sugar and cinnamon are a hit too.

When my twins where little I would buy those mini pita's and cut them in half. Then the kids helped me make different fillings, such as chicken salad, edd salad, tuna salad... and once in awhile just salad with what ever dressing they wanted.
Because they made the filling themselves and filled the mini pita's they always ate more than I thought they would.
