I hereby decree myself founding member and therefore President
of the I Hate Tim Hortons Mud Club!
Recent controversy surrounding rumours that T.H has been doping
their already toxic sludge with addictive substances can now be
confirmed as totally false.
The only thing the general public can blame on the almost cult-like
following that has people flocking to the drive-thru windows like
brain-washed zombies is themselves!!!
Humans tend to adopt a sheep- like mentality when presented
with overwhelming corporate mind control techniques such as
this one so obviously has become.
Join me in a Canada-wide boycott of these chains of vehicles lined
up for 3 city blocks just to drink coffee that is no different than the
mom and pop corner gas station on the corner offers.
UNITED we STAND! Lined up like that we can be picked
off one by one like cattle..... very mad

I must admitt I like Tim Hortons coffee but not the line ups. I will leave if the line is too long. It is not the same as the corner gas station, it is better.dancing banana

how many of us has bought a can of tim horton's coffee and took it home and made it,, it just doesn't taste the same,, from knowing people that worked there years ago,, it's not the coffee,, it's the cream in it,, the half and half cream we buy in the stores is 10 %,, timmy's cream is 18%,, it's all in the cream for most of us,, extremely heavy cream or not,, i like it,, but refuse to line up for it but it is good all right

I don't mind Tim's coffee although the line ups are rediculous! I prefer Robin's coffee, do you have Robin's donuts out east?

...of course my home brewed coffee is the BEST! come try it with some cheesecake and prepare for my mind control to begin!

I must admit that a nice cup of joe from Timmy's is always sweet

I have to agree with many of us that the line ups are ridiculous.............

I have to agree with Foxy about the coffee not tasting the same at home as it does at Tim's

Someone once told me that the reason for the coffee tasting 'different" is cause the makers aren't cleaned as often and thus the reason for the different tasting coffee confused

anywho, I think that Country Style Donuts ROCKS........I am not sure if there are any outside of Ontario but for those of you that do live in ONtario....try their coffee........

Less line ups (actually rarely any at all), the service is the same, the coffee is HOT and deeeeeeeeeeeeee-licious!

cheers

We used to have Country Style and Robin's Donuts here in the Edmonton area. I haven't seen either for quite some time now.
Now we're stuck with Starbucks ot Timmies. I'm sure there are others like 7/11 and small stores but I still like my own coffee or my dad's the best.
My dad still makes it on the stove in a perculator every morning. He even packs his Coleman stove into the trunk of the car if he's travelling and will pull over anywhere and brew a fresh pot. laugh
He takes his coffee seriously!

Do any of you have memories attached to coffee or certain drinks/foods? I remember the three places in my travels throughout the US where I had a decent cup of coffee.
The Imperial Palace in Vegas, the Chikasha Hotel in Oklahoma and a friends house in Egg Harbour just outside of Atlantic City. Good memories but also GOOD coffee!
The rest of the US apparently enjoys dishwater. laugh
I remember eating Mexican food at a truck stop in New Mexico on christmas eve several years ago with a bunch of truckers and quite a few had done long haul to Canada. They all knew about Tim Hortons coffee! Didn't remember anything else other than snow, friendly people and Timmies!wink

I like Timmy's coffee but I'm not addicted to it. I live right behind one and sometimes I'll walk over just to see if anyone I know is hanging out.
I do love the ice caps on a hot summer day.

I remember the old A & W'S where they came to your car and put the root beer on the window edge. You had to reach far out the car to push the button for pick up. The light used to flash.
