So many of us for soooooooo long have been addicted to the internet and the safety security and satisfaction internet chat friends have to offer......If reality were to find you....and you met someone real....could you give it up?

Only chat with friends and family via MSN... read news and emails....and it's my stereo.

If I met the right person, I might spend less time at the computer. Do not have patience for chat rooms and go crazy if I do not do something away from the computer

I use the net to keep in touch with friends...cheaper than long distance lol,and to work but have no trouble letting it go.........<real life> offers more.

yep most definitly give it up....last relationship l was in 2 years ago, gave up using internet...all things happen for a reason and givng something up for someone you love is a good thing...

I will disagree with the comment about giving up something for someone you love.... bad habits and things like that, giving them up, would be good, but giving up everything and too many things that are you, and make you who you are,... not so sure you should give that up.

Been there, done that, and it's like digging yourself into a bottomless pit.

Man...am I the only one who visits dating sites with the hope of meeting that someone special...would I give up the sites in the event I met someone...IN A MINUTE...friends I have met here I communicate with in other ways...if I don't then they are not really that close of friends...sorry not one that gives up part of myself when a guy walks into my world...but certainly would give up dating sites...it seems to me if dating someone the purpose for being here would be null

The internet is not going away. It's a tool used to get information and stay in touch. the same thing could be said about the phone. If I were to take a lover would I stop calling other people? No . I would stop calling other potential loves. I would stop using this site, I would have no need for it any more. I think it would be disrespectful to the new "important" person in my life to keep looking around. I would want to focus on something real, something 3D. I would not give up my other sites , my games or facebook. I do think that being "with someone" would dip into the free time that I use to go on the net but it would be worth it.

yes i would and i did. i've found a honest pure love.and the internet could not take that away.i can still chat it's a free world.but dating web site are over for me.and it doesn't bother me one bit.

New to the internet social life, but if I find someone to cherish, I would definately give up the site, other then talking to family out of town on msn, don't use the internet a lot. Been on more today then in a longggggg time These forums are interesting
