I'm finding myself in bit low these days..maybe it's the rain..or work..or family..or a combination. Anyone have any no/low cost pick-me-ups that will fit into a busy schedule?
Thanks in advance.

Put on some music that always picked up your mood, or brought your mind to a happy memory.... what are/is your favorite music to dance to?

Put on Abba, Dancing Queen, and dance.

Going for walks (exercise) is very important when needing to help the blah's. Great physically, and mentally. (have a mp3 player?, turn it on, go for a walk.)

Art.... not matter what form of creativity you can do, it always helps.

Get out of a rut. Do something different. Being bored can make a person feel down.

Have you heard of a true light lamp? there are small non expensive versions great for helping winter blah's. The ones in the drug store are very expensive, but smaller versions sold in stores like Zellers, or an art supply store are just as good.

And last but not least.... vitamins, and sometimes just changing something in your diet can help. (NOT CURE..... just HELP) B vitamins, like B6, or B12 are good examples.

Get a coil notebook, and physically write what ever comes to your mind.
You'd be amazed what that will do for you mentally. For some odd reason, this helps. You never know what you might be able to get rid of mentally, as well as see what is actually bothering you. In some cases, even find out how small that little thing is, that is helping to make you feel the you do.

Hope you feel better soon

The bad - you know there's worse things
The good - just plain makes you feel good.

Write a quick note the one that got away even if it'll never get sent.

Chocolate milkshake - need I say more?

Exercise - increases mood-enhancing serotonin.

Funny kids & funny animals on youtube.com - you'll be laughing in no time.
I suggest "dancing birds" and "babies laughing" - seriously. Also, groovygirl on youtube is neat to watch.

Aaaand... that's all I've got for 10 pm Wednesday night!

its might sound strange but I always feel better after a move the furniture around in my house. here are some reasons why I think it may help.
1 its a distraction
2 change is always good
3 it is physical work like exercise
4 it will give you a feeling of accomplishment
when I star moving stuff around I ALWAYS end up tossing junk away. Maybe clearing out some old (unwanted) clutter in you home will also help you clear out some *unwanted* feelings toosigh. think of your home as a metaphor for your head and heart. And if your whole house is too big a job, do it one closet and room at a time.

good luck shamrock
I hope you feel better soon.

What she said also helps.

Glad you are feeling better. Come here when you feel blah, you never know what will make you feel better, and it might be just the silly things we post, or knowing others are going through the same thing.

Finally got to plant my garden.... or most of it.

Helped remove a bit of a blah mood that happens when I have not been able to get my garden looking a bit healthier. :-) I find gardening quite healing.
