I myself will turn 60 in June, I just relocated from a place I called home.

It is stressful when u leave family behind moping

I was not ready to completely retire & where I was living it was impossible to find employment unfortunately it is who u know to gain employment (small community) & the age was a big factor.

Where I worked company closed, could not find employment in my field after 2 years decided to pick up and relocate to Niagara, my youngest does reside here. But it was the most difficult decision I made leaving family especially my grandchild who I enjoyed very much so.

This was the best decision I have made now settled after 3 weeks, applied a few positions (part time positions) and now I am employed how wonderful it is to know companies see the knowledge & not the age yay

And just love it here wine

You are never too old. It takes more courage to start over when you are older compared to younger.

bowing

P.S. There is no fleeping way you are 60!!! By your picture, thought you were younger than I am.

The only limitations are yourself, so as long as you are determined it is never too late to begin a journey. As long as you have breath and a spring in your step, the path lies before you...

I don't think any age is too old or too late to start over again. I think its all in who you are and what you are feeling and what you want.

Yea unfortunatly lots of companies will not hire someone older and I find that really sad.

Glad that you are happy where you are though and that you have found a job you love! The best of luck with everything girl!!

cheers
