ok thanks for the laugh. that was great!!!!!
I am a plus sized woman. i wear a size 18. have always been big except right before i got married when i was wearing a size 12...that didn't last long...neither did the marriage:)
anyway. what confusses me is what ppl think is too far overweight.on a person who normally weighs 115lbs you notice a 30 pound gain. on a 200 lbs woman you barely even notice a 30 lb gain. I am 5'6" and 250lbs. I have big boobs, big thighs and hips but still have a waist line. i am proportional i guess. would like to lose some weight but have a bad back that limits my acivities. not all larger ppl are larger due to food intake.
I have found that a smile goes a long way to helping meet ppl.
Oh yeah and all women who are larger are not happy all the time. i hate that stereo type.
i do like to hug a man who has some weight to him. I am sure men who are overweight are thinking the same as you Alberta girl. But don't give the guys time to look elsewhere. take the bull by the horn( per say) and go after what you like. then let them decide. maybe you should put in your profile right off the bat that you are a certain size and comfortable with that. that would maybe weed out those that have a preference for other shaped women
eyesthatknowwhy: Sorry, not meaning to hijack your thread Alberta, but seen this on the Int'l Forum and just had to paste it here - somehow "fits"
Exercise
Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $7000 per month.
My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he's 97 years old and we don't know where he is.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.
I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there.
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
I do have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say, 'Well, he looks good doesn't he.'
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
I know I got a lot of exercise the last few years, just getting over the hill.
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
AND
Every time I start thinking too much about how I look, I just find a bar and by the time I leave, I look just fine.
