eyesthatknowwhy: Sorry Gordy, not wanting to crash your chat here, but Blue, gotta tell you, on most days the weather is warmer at Whitehorse than it is here in Saskatchewan. I know it sounds hard to believe, but I think that there has been a noticeable shift in weather patterns in the north (that's what a little bird told me anyways)

I found Ft Nelson , Toad River, and Rancheria much colder than White Horse when I was there.

Fiancee drives his rig back and forth from Edmonton up to the Yukon. He always says weather in White Horse is usually better than the other areas he passes through.

"I was contacted by a girl this past weekend from the USA and last nite she tried to scam me.I guess she didn't read the part in my profile about scammers,go figure. What really disgusts me is how they try to play on your sensitivities."

I'm also on another singles site and get scam letters about ten times a day. I state in my profile that as a scam prevention, to contact me, place the word 'Fire' in the subject line. I simply delete all letters without that and it makes my life simple.

I really like the landings when the wind is blowing so hard that damn plane has to come in sideways. Those are fun too!

But yeah, how hard is it to land a jet? And small ones to boot...can't be any harder than parking a Volkswagon now can it?rolling on the floor laughing

Those 30 seater ones with propellers... flying in the winter to and from Rouyn Noranda....know that wind blown landing very well. Don't forget the very bumpy ride.uh oh

That's them...and do not jest; scared me to the nth degree...seriously - tears and that means beyond effing scared. I was told today when I picked up my travel stuff that Whitehorse and then Yellowknife are notorious for severe crosswinds - so yeah, Geo it's the whole sideways thing that gets me. Landing elsewhere was not really that bad...angel
So next Saturday night, shortly after midnight, I do believe that I will be scared witless for a moment or two...but that too shall pass wink And it's all so worth it smitten

Seasons Greetings to all wine
