eyesthatknowwhy: That's them...and do not jest; scared me to the nth degree...seriously - tears and that means beyond effing scared. I was told today when I picked up my travel stuff that Whitehorse and then Yellowknife are notorious for severe crosswinds - so yeah, Geo it's the whole sideways thing that gets me. Landing elsewhere was not really that bad...
So next Saturday night, shortly after midnight, I do believe that I will be scared witless for a moment or two...but that too shall pass And it's all so worth it
Seasons Greetings to all
Hope you have a great trip Eyes. I'll want details (except you know... those kinds of details).
Funny how that plane in front of the air port, is the the largest weather vane.
When Brian and I were in Whitehorse, we parked the truck across the road from the air port. I did think it was weird for an airplane to be the weather vane... but cool at the same time. Have a post card of it, on my office wall.
If we are there at the same time, we should meet in person, instead of just on the phone. Regret that we did not meet at the restaurant after talking on the phone.
Think positive.
