Hey Kim, thanks for the support every little bit helps. If browncow gets to sure of himself I am sure we could band together and teach him a lesson or two on how to treat a lady

Hi there, of course sometimes male friends are better and for me I have more of them than female. Guy are great pals they come around when you need them, they help move things and never whinge about it. They ask advice on their love life and gifts for their girlfriend. They respect us women as friends more than they do male pals of theirs. Mainly because we keep our mouths shut and don't blab. If your man does not see it this way its because he is jealous and wants you all to himself. He will calm down in time. Introduce your male friends slowly and once he gets to know them they will be his pals too!Good luck.

well i belive it to be ok i think for someone to think other wise is a sign of insecurity in the relationship. personally 90% of my freinds are female and and i think even if i am going out with someone that they can have male freinds just as long as thats all they are is freinds

Yes it sure is ok to be friends with people of the other sex. i have more friends who r female then male.

I have many very good women friends. After all, we make friends with people and we are people first, then men and women. I think that people who have issues with their shake booty partner having friends of opposite anything have some personal issues around trust and self esteem.

I just want to say thank you to all and Curvy Chick I never thought about it like that before... but on the flip side...what the heck are you asking? someone you care about doesnt see it that way? maybe cause HE has feelings for you and hasn't told you yet? did ya think of that?YEs some one I care about deeply does not see it that way, The reason is that he was cheated on prior and he said I was an honesty gal, and he is having a hard time dealing with my male friends......

If you break up with someone over a friend of the oppisite sex, that tells me that there was more then just 'friendship' going on. I think males/females can be friends while in relationships but the boyfriend/girlfriend should come first. I wouldn't be comfortable if they say the same 'friend' often or for long periods either.

you can't blame anyone for being a bit hesitant....sometimes it takes a lot longer for some folks to get over "being burnt"
BUT, if you really care for him, I say GO FOR IT!
just make it a point of letting him KNOW that the other guys are just pals and that your focus will be on him...not THEM!
however, make sure that you stick to your word.... cause the ONE TIME that you decide to hang out with your male buddies, may be the time that his insecurites kick in!

Hi funnylovgal how are you ? as for the friend thing I feel that every one can be friends men and woman but the problem comes in when you have a male friend that you slept with !! if you have male friends that you have not slept with your man should not care and trust you !! I women can be friends with men and there shouldn't be any problems with trust issues - unless the lines have been blurred by sleeping with them. If there is an issue with trust as someone has been cheated on before - that's a separate matter.

My best mate is male and has been now for 30 years coming up in May.

Yes they can be friends. Fiancee's best friend is his female friend from college. She has a husband, 3 kids, and even I feel I can go to her for anything.

I feel if a person can have a best friend, or a friend that is there no matter what, that person is lucky. What sex that friend happens to be is not something that should be an issue. (jmo... if there is an issue, it's not between the 2 friends, it's from other people.) :-)

i agree that a woman cannnot just be friends. oh and visa versa!
