Dogs

I'm sure many CSers have dogs. I have.

Mine's a kelpie cross, part staffie and lots of dingo....acts like one too, never barks, super friendly. Doesnt howl, thank goodness. He's now 15.

Sadly he has a tumour in his stomach, vet thinks its in his spleen and reckons he wont last more than about a month. He's losing weight badly, but he is so affectionate, I swear he knows somethings wrong. Doesnt seem to be in pain yet, I guess I'll have to put him down when when he gets too bad.

Anyway, tell us about your dog(s).

Hey yeh sorry to hear about your dog - i love dogs too. 2008 was a bad year for me - i lost my girl, 3 dogs and my favourite radio dj - you could write a country song about that year lol
back in early January i bought a new pup - a mexican dingo (chihuahua) she's just such a personality - just 700 grams when i got her at 6 weeks - she killed a rat yesterday! It was nearly as big as her!

The good news is that my daughter is getting a German Short hair Pointer pup in a few weeks.....almost as good as having a grandchild. On second thoughts, probably better!

Comet is still going, but slowing down a lot.

The worst thing is we get to love them so much and they have such a short lifespan it breaks my heart.I have three they are all wonderful thats how I cope so when one of them dies of old age there are two left for each other as animals really grieve too. Then after a few months another puppy comes along and causes mayhem so it starts all over again. It does work,I could not be without them.
