Thanks kids, I am sure it will just be formalities, I have already done 2 runs to the cop shop tonight to sign off on affidavits that i bloody forgot about. I only have to attend coz there are kids under 18 involved and they want to ensure their welfare. I know that I am a good parent so i am not too concerned.

I'll report back tomorrow night as to the proceedings.

Well the registrar has set me free. In one month and one day, my divorce papers will be sent out and i will no longer be legally married.

I had to be there at 9am for the proceedings and i was late coz my train was delayed for almost an hour, luckily i had left plenty of time to get there so only ended up 15 minutes late. I got to the courtroom, handed over my affidavits, they already had the application that i had sent earlier. I got quizzed about why the farkwit doesn't have anything to do with his kids, he asked how they were doing at school and he seemed happy with my responses and granted my divorce. I was out of there by 10am. The only emotion i managed was a weight lifting as i walked out of the courts and a sense of pride that I have accomplished something that was a bit of a headfuck. It is still a bit 'whatever' to me, it just seems like a formality out of the way.
