Mothers Day is coming up...

if you have a mum, what do you do for/with her on Mothers Day?

if you are a mum, what do you like your kids to do for/with you?

if you don't have a mum do you do something for/with someone else who has been like a mum to you?

....

my mum lives in Brisbane so I will ring her and have a long chat (and probably repeat myself about 10 times cos she sort of doesn't listen very well roll eyes laugh)

I like to go out for dinner with my boys on Mothers Day and just spend the time with them chatting and laughing teddybear

That sounds nice Blonde.

I work every mothers day.. that's the shit about working weekends I guess, but this year I am not doing it!.. Boss doesn't know yet laugh

They hold a massive Mothers Day market here and sell lots of incredible things and have entertainment etc too. It always sounds like a nice girly day out but I can never go so this year I am hoping to take Mum.

Mum works crap hours too so planning something can't always work.

I would love to take Mum out for dinner and go to a day spa with her but she isn't interested at all very mad laugh

My daughter however, makes me lots of home made cards and stuff telling me how much she loves me etc, I get brekky in bed and a coffee too. It's nice. MOst years though I celebrate it the day before (just for the brekky in bed lol) and that's always fun, me and my girl. We go out for lunch etc.

I wonder if I could start throwing hints to Miss 7, I wonder if I could get a day at a day spa dunno grin

I always get a plant for my late Mother's grave.

And, on behalf of my late Father, I also get one for the Grandmother I never knew.

What a great idea Zed, i was wondering about what to do this year as my poor old Nan is just about to expire so she probably won't be here.

We have three generations of mothers here and we usually get the whole family together and have a bring a dish dinner at my mum's and we just have a relaxing night catching up with the rest of the renegades that we don't usually see much.

My mum is going away this year and hopeully Nan will have stopped holding on so i have no idea on what I might do now. I'll just cling to hope that the boys spoil me............I won't hold my breath though. gift

I usually get breakfast in bed by my now nearly 10yr old daughter and 12 yr old son.

As they have been to young to use anything electrical or the stove its the ceral and juice on a tray and the daughter every year is bossing the brother around as to how to do serve and prepare this lol... I may have to train them to use the kettle soon, so I get my cup of tea lol...

you can always get one of those teasmaids.. my ex's mum used to have one years ago.. it sat on her bedside table and it was on a timer.. so it could be set to boil the water at a certain time.. and the water would then go into a teapot with tea leaves in it

pretty cool grin
