WaterDragpn: I hear ya, Blonde!!!

I have had my 5mth old puppy (bichon frise/poodle X) for 2mths now. He's adorable BUT:-

1. check - and brings in sticks, stones and bark to chew
3. definitely check! (My son calls him "the little poop machine"!)
4. chews ANYTHING - loves my shoes
5. DON'T LET GO!

I rent too but my place has a BIG fully fenced yard coz I had a dog when I arrived here (he died of the big C in April, 14yrs old). The house was so quiet and lonely that I got Jack.

He's an inside/outside pooch. The back door is always open day/evening when I'm home. He has to have the back light on at night or he won't go outside - small price to pay. He also has lots toys and gets bones to occupy himself with.

Puppies are hard work, a bit like toddlers! But so worth it in the end - this stage doesn't last forever! Make your house Puppy Proof. Rather than getting rid of him/her, go to Dog Obedience Training.

Hope this helps a bit, Good Luck!! Stevie

I went to puppy school with her .. she was the worst in the class cos she isnt food orientated like other puppies.. so dog treats dont motivate her at all ... so training takes a VERY long time !!! laugh I fill her dog bowl and she gets around to eating it about an hour later dunno

I wont really get rid of her Stevie.. I was having a whinge really sigh laugh

yeeeeep... completely agree.. we had two (male and female boxers). the female was full of grace and elegance. but the male had a huge head as big as the rottweiler next door and had a nasty habit of farting when the whole family was gathered infront of the tv.. he would crawl off with his huge head and belly flat on the floor with just his little pudgy paws doing the walking.. that's when we know that he's just dropped one big nasty gas bomb.

I am a dog lover and think your dog is bored. I also think it needs a little disapline. That breed of dog is a working dog with extremely high energy levels if you can decide to give the dog away a farm would be the ideal place, I have owned dogs all my life and found the best way is to run them to the point of exhaustion and a clip across the nose when they are destroying things with my dogs it only takes the one clip across the nose and the problem doesn't reoccur but only when you catch it in the act not afterwards and remember a dogs intelligence can be as high as a 8 year old human.
