I think there is more than one 'ideal partner'. I don't believe that I won't be happy until I am with some un-known, but specific individual, my happiness is up to me to create.
Whether a relationship works or not -IMO- isn't just about being 'perfect' for each other, it's also about knowing when to compromise and when not to, when to give and when to take. I don't believe in 'perfect relationships' because none of us is perfect so how can our relationships be? No matter how much you love someone a relationship is at times hard work for BOTH parties.
Sure would be nice to find or be found by one of those 'ideal' blokes tho smitten

I do believe in Soul Mates, however I dont believe that is restricted to a romantic notion. I believe that a Soul Mate can be of the same sex also, they can be friends, parents, children, they are someone who is going to help us learn something about ourselves.

I believe in the 'one' great love theory... hmmmm... I believe that sometimes we meet someone who's very imperfections are what make them perfect. Who appreciates us for all we are, as we appreciate them for all they are.

I believe in unconditional love, but by its very nature unconditional love is unselfish love, so through it we learn that sometimes we have to step back and away, for the sake of the person we love. That we can love them from the sidelines, cheer their successes, and love the people they may choose over us, because of the fact that we want them to be happy.. Unconditionally ..

I believe that if Im incredibly lucky then God and the universe will smile on me, and place that unconditional love in a position where they can love me unconditionally too, and that neither of us will be entangled in other relationships. That we will get to be together.

Because in the end I honestly believe that if God (the universe) is everything Im told God (the universe) is, then the greatest gift God (the universe) has for everyone is to be loved.

Yes i truly believe in soul mates... to me soul mate implies partnership, depth knowledge, maybe happens over periods of time rather than for ever, someone with whom you connect and dig deeper into your privacy circles, someone who understands you...

Grace nurture and revelation is the essence...

hmmm I agree with your "maybe happens over a period of time rather than for ever" thing ..

Soulmates can be the ones who are in your life for "a reason, a season or a lifetime" I think

i reckon FOR SURE there's love to be found in soo many place's...me, personally at the moment...i'm sorting myself out...so i'm not ready...i've been flattered by the wonderful comments about myself (in my real life!!)...it's given me a nice self esteem boost...i also have a daughter to consider, so i'm treading lightly...when the time is right, i'll know it...i know it's not now...

Not looking.

I am happy living my life as it is.

It would be wonderful if a 'soul mate' existed for me. Meeting that person is the trick. Maybe I have. And the timing wasn't right?dunno

I think I have found my soul mate. I have never been treated so well in all my life and I love it. It is so nice not having to cuddle up to the old pillow at night. He is a real gentleman and a great lover. so folks those who are looking I am sure you will find your soulmate one day.hug
