I have only been on one date.. I am the biggest sad sack ever!

So my story isn't funny nor is it sad, but it's not really romantic either so it is no good me sharing it with yas LOL

date sites are a waste of time i have been on this one now for a few months no one seems interested to day in relationships only one nitters or just casual relationships i send out lots of mail to people no one gets back to you alongtime ago cs use to be a good date site not anymore

Dj i agree in a way with you about ppl not wanting to have a relationship, it is sad, i think we are all to scared to fall inlove...

it is pretty hard to find that someone special for a relationship as i have found out myself being 10 years out of one i mean i have had 2 or 3 trys but all failed for me either they were into messing around or cheating so yeh........
i wish i had a good story to tell as i say all the time live life and have fun

I went on a first date and he was drunk. Two years later he was still drunk so I bailed. Lot happier now.Shame because apart from the booze I quite liked him.

I leave next thursday to go to Gladdy for a month!! but I have friends to see in Rocky at some stage!

What is there to do in Rocky anyway? I have been there a few times but only for shopping lol oh and that big moutain, what ever its called!

Well for Rocky.. you just about done it all..
But seriously.. unless you want to go out to the Betanical Gardens.. um.. yeh.. wow.. I live here and I dont know what there is to do, as far as "tourist" spots go..

The crew and I usually just head out to the Shops, the mall, the cinema.. the shops.. Hungry Jacks.. Caltex.. lol Um.. then there are the Pubs/Clubs.. Mainly The Postie or the Berserker Tavern, then you have Strutters, the Jungle Bar and The Stadium for hot club spots..

There's only roughly 60,000 people in this town.. there's not a great deal to do within Rockhampton itself, but there's a fair wack more than 5min out of town. If you head out to Yeppoon, Emu Park, the Singing Ship, The Crocodile Farm etc..

Sounds like fun!!

I have been to that cinema before! I seen ME MYSELF AND IRENE haha that's how long ago it was!. Thanks for the hot tips though, I will make a note of them and work something out.. actually I might ring my friends now and see what dates I can go!!..

Aw DJ, sounds like you haven't had much luck. Guess what? I met my last two boyfriends online! Not deliberately - I wasn't looking for boyfriends at the time, but I became good friend with them, ended up meeting them and it progressed into relationships!
Good first date stories? Well, went out to dinner with both of them, then ended up dating each for more than a year, so can't be too bad. :) Different times, of course. ;)

All this about no one seeking a relationship anymore.

It is true and here is my biased view why.
The first time we fall in love we go all the way and make promises to ourselves not to let the love die. But familiarity breeds contempt and we forget to treat our loved one like a loved one and the marriage fails.

Then we compare all the rest of our relationships to that one. There is always something that doesn't add up or seems to good to be true. So we bail; Afraid of the results and the hurt that comes, or could come from a long term relationship.
We know a true partner is worth it so we keep trying, But that mental pain barrier is truely a hard barrier to breakdown and bury.
Our faith in a longterm relationship is fatally flawed due to that first experience.
