Or should i say

See inside the psych of the Dragon.

Here is Situation.

From yesterdays Press.

Boy gets violently ill after recieving cake from stranger.

Now the press are savaging the stranger. Saying he is a sicko and should be drawn and quartered. (My Interpretation of press release)

Well I point the finger at the Boy and parents. (If there are Parents) The boy is 12yrs old.

When I was growing up the school rammed it down our throats about stranger danger. My parents lectured me about strangers everytime we went to big events. (Well my mother did)

In this era kids have lost the respect for right and wrong. No respect for laws and law enforcers.

See this is where I say bring back corporal punishment.

But this kid is learning the hard way from natural selection. He is suffering for his error in judgement on the critical ill list in hospital. This on its own should teach him and his immediate mates the inportance of not accepting food from strangers.

And another point. There is no proof that there was a stranger. As the original report said the boy was walking home around four or five in the afternoon. (Not sure).

Who is to say at this point that the kid didn't pick up the cake off the street or a shop owner has laid a trap for a petty thief. The Boy being the Petty thief. (I remember my Mum doing that to a boy at school, Someone was pinching my brothers playlunch everyday. So she lifted the icing and smothered it with mustard)

The Boy invents the stranger to keep himself from getting in further trouble.

Why are the press not picking on the boy and Parents. 1) for being so stupid. 2) For bad parenting. the kid is 12 for christ sakes.

To me he got what he deserved. There are always Predators and they come in many forms. Incuding Feminine with looks to stop the all blacks from scoring the winning try. We need to learn to look after ourselves in all situations and if we take the risk then we accept the results.

I explained he would NOT like it but NO.. he kept on SO.... (being nasty Mum obviously....) I slapped some on his tongue - hmmmm - English HOT mustard - he has not nagged me about this since.... laugh

I'm astounded at the depth of feeling from everybody. and I'm so impressed by everyone seeing things my way.

Well I guess I better go to the love thread. Don't want to get anyone banished due to hurt feelings and heated views.

What if the boy lived in a smaller community and there was a stranger. who was talking to other people he had known most of his life and he thought nothing of it as the other people were snacking on the same cakes. The stranger was an elderly old lady (dont remember if there was an age/sex specified) D'oh! at a cake stall and it might have been the last one.

It could have been an allergy reaction that the child was not aware of until that time.

we take food from strangers everyday, do you know your local mac's attendant, fish n chip shop attendant, have you been to a street parade lately or showside alley? arent they strangers?

Yes they are strangers but you are paying for a service. If you pay for something in todays society you have entitlement to a certain level of Quality. If that level of Quality is not met you have legal recourse.
You can not take things you are suppose to pay for. This is theft. Which still leaves the boy in the wrong.

If it was an allergy reaction then WHY again have the media blown things out of proportion.

This is just another sympton of how corript we as a society have become.

Yesteryear society was a community. Today Society is all Individuals making up rules and guidelines for themselves to suit themselves. And then when they come unstuck jump up and down and say its not right.

I like Yesteryears Society guidelines. Todays technology with the family and Society values of the 1940's would be close to ideal. For me.
With those values of then. Would you see a kid help himself to cake from a stranger. Would you see a cellphone ring in a public meeting. Would you see a kid getting smart to the neighbour across the street.

Hi I wouldhave to agree with you at age 12 the boy should have known better, unfortunetly with the Coca Colarisation of the world we are encouraging rather than discouraging our children to be involved with strangers..I remember growing uo hearing my parents say that "don't take sweets from strangers" and here we are encouraging our children to participate with Halloween..how ridiculous..accepting food from strangers..knocking on what may be a child molesters door..for what...

Parents need to be educated and educate their children of such things....

I am not anti American just some of their stupid customs.....

We should celebrare life and the living....

Merry Christmaswaving santa
