littlemiss: I believe in gut instinct (or in my case, women's intuition). One thing I do myself is the "picture my life in 5 yrs time. What will I have achieved, is that person still there? Where will i be in 10 yrs time? Can i still see them there?"
And the big one... If i roll over in bed when i'm 80, can i still picture that person there. If yes, you're on a winner.
Pre-emptive maybe but you don't get to our age without knowing yourself. Just don't rush the decision.

Hey i too have met the love of my life on this site, and believe me i thought that was an impossibility!!!!Honestly what have you got to loose? Believe me life is so damn short and the years just fly by, so if you feel in your heart that she is the right one and then you change your mind, go over what you have been discussing and chatting about, as there is possibly something somewhere that has triggered a negative emotion in you and your way of protecting yourself is to back off.....i did that for years, but not anymore, this time its for keeps. Sweety i wish you all the best, give the girl a chance dont just disappear! Take your time and you will know believe me, you will know!!!!

Twodawgz: Lets say you have been dating someone you met on line for a couple of weeks...things are progressing nicely and going great. You really start to feel and think that this time you might have actually met "the one" and you really look forward to getting to know them a lot better and seeing where things end up. Then one day, right out the blue, it hits you that maybe this isn't the right one after all? And you keep trying to tell yourself that you really don't know them well enough to make that decision yet, but the nagging feeling persist. So is it cold feet, or is it a sixth sense telling you to beware and do a runner????

if there is doubt.. they are not the one I reckon

That's cold feet or nerves, you can't really make any kind of decision until you have actually spoken to them in person and got to know them, remember this is just a foot in the door so to speak, even if their "not the one" you might still make a great friend.
