Kizzy... you hold me in such high esteem! laugh

Maybe saying things as you see it is just a Queensland thing. drinking

As for your food for thought... I have been known to speak my mind on occasion and I've never found a need to hide behind a fake profile, so if I did want to take a shot at your sorry arse, it would most certainly be posted by 'bourbon'..... think about that. wine

I really do think virtual dating can work. But I do believe you have to both drag each other into the forums and see how you interact with others. See how they interact on a serious thread and on a light thread.

you're right there, in the forums you can see how people react to different situation albeit being in a virtual environment. one can also get to see other people's reaction out there, in the real world.

it gives you an idea on how people are....

yes they often hide behind humour as well, change the subject quickly and not answer the question. Point he arrows in another direction so nobody looks too deeply at them and their misguidance.

A picture doesn't make a profile real. drinking

Not answer the question? confused What question????

I know that exposing bbw's fake profiles aint going to make her or her friends happy, but at least newbies that read about it will become aware that there are strange people online doing strange things.

Yes sweetheart you have to be aware of people both on and off sites when meeting them without knowledge of their intentions. But you also can't become too cynical, you have to give people a little bit of a chance to begin with.
I went out with a woman I recently met on here and she appeared lost for words. Well I did not think we got on too well to begin with but she wrote me later and explained her lack of dating experience since her marriage break-up. We went out again and had a great night out. I think the rule is just take your time in getting to know them, if no common affinity then don't waste your time and lastly don't give money etc. ever.
Good luck honey. J

Anyone can cut n copy a pic ,A man I know was romancing a woman online for about 6 weeks , turned out it was actually a 63 year old man who decided to come clean in the end ! Gross for sure but I gotta agree with Bourban on this A pic does not make a profile any more genuine .
I have also been played with by a man with a fake profile who interfered with my life ,manipulated me for his own amusment & gain.Re: be afraid post by me
I think its wrong & scary to think there are both men & woman on these site with their own agendas but ...there are !

Good question, why do people lie?, theres tones of plausable answers for this question......to make them sound better then they already are, to get the attention of that future person of interest which is like faulse advertisment,to worm their way out of trouble, to mess with peoples heads and feelings...this ties in with false profiles and their ilk.

All in all people lie because they are untrustworthy pond scum, to bad thers alot of them around and make the rest of us decent people look bad.

Have been on this site for nearly 3 years....

and spent the first 1 1/2 years being accused of being a fake because I had no pic up (thought we lived in a free country where we had a choice)mumbling

Those that chose to trust me and become friends are still there 3 years later and I have met a few....am spending time in the states with one at the moment...and am going to catch up with Harry in a few weeks.....kiss

A picture doesnt make someone real and if you take your time before jumping in head first there are ways of picking real from fake....cam is a good way of doing that as are other ways......

yes there have been many fakes on here...but sooner or later they do get exposed....just dont become a victim due to desperation to meet someone.....

to all those I have met ....love you allhug teddy bear

If you read back over the threads you will realise my sarcasm was directed at someone that accuses others of being false, why you take offence to a criticism about paranoid people I have no idea?confused

Yes, the truth is out there, somewhere.

These last couple years I have struggled to find an HONEST man. Let me begin with the experience I had last week for example.......

I met a guy a couple weeks ago off this site, and man what an eye opener that was. He seriously believed he could get away with telling me that a) he is separated from his wife, and b) the kids DONT live with him. Now I feel awful about the times I spent with this guy, coffees, drinks etc, because somewhere back at home the poor missus is doing the cooking and cleaning for this sonofabitch! Sometimes I have to really try not to laugh out loud, because these guys really think I am not smart enough to work them out. It all comes unstuck though when you offer to go round theirs armed with a pizza and DVD hey?

Now don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the whole charade, because my 'jerk' radar is getting better!

I wonder now though, is it affecting me finding a decent guy do you think? And why do I only get the married guys who want affairs, because it has happened to me more than once? Am I too trusting, gullible, too honest myself or lacking confidence?

I invite any comments and feel free to berate.

Sam
