I won't be near a computer for the rest of today or tomorrow but I wanted to wish all the Mums a big HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

I am celebrating MD today with my daughter as I am working tomorrow.

I got a pancake with jam and cream in bed and a lovely gift she bought from the mothers day stall at school. We have just been shopping and now I am broke lol but whilst out we went past the local guys from the radio and they gave me a bottle of wine and a cd.. WOOHOO

My daughter entered me in a MD competition during the week and I won a bottle of wine too, so 2 bottles in a week.. no need for an excuse to drink this week

So I hope all you lovely ladies get pampered and treated like the princess you are.

Same to you all, Im having a bbq with family in the day then out to dinner tommorrow night with my new friend & all the kids were a brady bunch so it should be alot of fun .
The kids have been secretive & the rustling of tissue paper echoing thru the house leads me to believe mummys gonna get spoilt !!!

I just wanted to add something to this thread.

Happy Mothers Day to those of us who have lost a child, or are trying for a child, or have failed to conceive.

Many people forget these women on a day like today.

If you have lost a child, people sometimes try and avoid the day to make it easier for you (and them). But you are still a mother regardless! So to those in this situation, my heart goes out to you and your child(ren) are still with you in your heart. No matter what people say or think - you are still a mother and always will be.

If you are TTC (trying to conceive) and, like myself were/have been, unsuccessful, today can be quite painful. Its that little reminder that you are missing out on what so many others have.

To me personally, although I do not have any children, in my heart I am a mother without a child to love. Our wombs may be empty, but our hearts are not.

Anyway, just wanted to acknowledge those of us in those situations. Its not an easy day for some. Just know that you are not alone - in more ways than one.

Bacon & eggs shaped into a smily face, a heart shaped card made from the old weetbix box absolutley smothered in glue & glitter, a luke warm cup of weak tea with just not quiet enough sugar in it ....

Ahhhh Mothers day ....yet again worth waiting 364 days for ....

Good I cant help my warped sense of humour escaping sometimes lol Im a goober like that..

Its better to have a warped sence of humor then none at all, i know mine is lol...i think the majority of people take life to seriously which is somewhat sad.
