I often read of hellish tales of unpopular neighbours.
I often do shift work and find my biggest task is trying to get sleep with teenagers living next door and loving loud music and cursing each other out on friday nights.
Sometimes I crash at work to catch up.
Do you have any horror neighbour stories?

Up until the last month or two Ive found that the 6 members extended family on the left hand side liked to have long late night singalongs and BBQ's until the early hours of the morning... Most days they seemed to run a day care center out of their down stairs section.. Some days there must have been at least 15 screaming little farkers terrorising the back yard..

On the other side have been there only 2 months and every morning the domestic shit fight starts with the constantly barking pit bull.. Not to mention the 2 stroke trail bike being rev ed in the back yard two or three times a day..
very mad : frustrated

Jaysus I thought I had it tough with a few teenagers partying occasionally on a weekend night next door. I live close to the city any how so the traffic noise does drown it out to a certain night time frame. Funny sxc666 how you mention Queensland, my sister used to live up there and her neighbours had burnt out cars, rubbish from no end piled up in the back yard until someone called the council and complained. She seriously had rat infestations from next door and their tribe of kids used to live in an old caravan in the backyard and light bonfires for a BBQ and rip the fence pailings up. All the ferals from the local towns would visit for non-stop parties so that drove her to sell her house and vacate the state.

I moved last July from my seaside hideaway to help my mum after an illness ,about 4 months after moving in the cops arrived & asked if I was aware i was being videotaped by my neighbour ! WTF I said !By Who ? doing what ?Apparently a passer by noticed him lurkin video in hand & notified the cops .They found 3 ,four hour tapes of me washing the car, coming & going, gardening, just mundane stuff nothing explicit .Anyway apparently it isnt against the law so I had to take out an avo at court which i did thinkin that would be the end ,He became vebally abusive anytime he saw me then was caught video taping me again & was arrested & charged .He then was quite for a few weeks but the final straw was he started video taping my 9 year old daughter,That was it I packed & moved back to my seaside home .
Got no close neighbours & that is the way I like it !!!!!

thats is aweful sweetheart, I would have probably punched his lights out if he was taping my wife or daughter, worse than stalkers.
A funny thing is I am paranoid of motel rooms, I always start to imagine a camera in the ceiling or bathroom, trauma of big brother!

Thats damn creepy and worth being alarmed about and whats worse there's no law against it?, WTF!?, the last time i cheaked that would be considered an invasion of privacy and even be considered as a form of stalking....totally unacceptable. That jerk had no right to be abusive and whatnot as he was in the wrong, if it was my wife or child they were video taping id make sure they wouldnt be able to do such a thing ever again....red hot poker to the eyesdevil very mad

As for abnoxious neighbors i have a house full of them right outside my window who happen to play loud music, drink and swear, yell and fight, reve cars on early hours in the morrning, all this would keep up people for goodness knows how long but when your an insomniac and you eventually cannot get to sleep because the jerks next dor are being overly loud you tend to not get much sleep and being a very cranky person........unplesant.

Complaints have been made yet they continue to be jerks and i sure aint movin, if anyone should they should.very mad frustrated

Think about it a little more carefully Arty. If you take that stance All Photography would be illegal.

It is only illegal if personal boundaries are crossed witout one's permission. In this case they would of needed to be on her property.

Outside of entering private property, To invade privacy you would need to be photographed in some comprimising position either implying sexual or personal relief or some form of actual nudity.
Which is why you can go to the beach and take photos to your hearts content and hope no one wants to bring on a physical abuse case against themselves as they beat the living daylights out of you for taking their photograph. You can do it because its a public venue.

And again stalking has to be proven. Being in his backyard and neighbourhood it is pretty hard to prove he was stalking.

What one can't do is take those photos and on sell them or provide them for public viewing. They may not charge an admission or obtain recompense for anything that contains your image without your authority.

So if you find your image on the internet somewhere, or TV, or in some form of printed media, and it is there without your permission. You are in line for a nice financial reward. Assuming you have done the background checks and legalities to ensure your case is watertight.

But no one can take your image and on sell it for profit without your signed authority. Of course they can take your photo and give it away to millions. Thats why TV cameras will blurr the crowds especially when filming something sensitive just so they don't get sued for showing someone they weren't meant to.

But there are still some situations that I'm interested in finding out how they bypass these laws or whether they do follow them to the letter. For example a crook/murderer that is put away because of a chance snapshot by Joe public, Or by police during an arranged surveilance of person and property. Something if done by anyone else is called stalking.

There would be no authority given by the crook would there. But i suppose if no funds change hands then all is in line with the law.

Hi dragondog4
Just dropped in to see who are still here.

I see you are still the wise counsellor. What would this site be without you. "Boring"

Ive been surfing the universe and have discovered some very interesting sites. Found quite a few old friends and family members along the way .
Still working in the community but intend to retire from it all soon.
I need a break and much needed holiday. Haven't been enjoying good health this year .

Have you caught that fish yet. Looks like there are quite a few new minnows in the pool now. Did you throw some berley in the water it works every time. Come out and swim in the big wide ocean there is so much to see ,and learn and many more to meet.

Really interesting topic "neighbours from hell" I have one but I just ignore it and pretend I don't see it. When I first moved here we had many run ins but now it leaves me alone and all is peaceful.

Bye for now

Will come back to visit again some time.

Raina

A few years ago I lived next door to the worst druggie, trailer park trash. Apart from the motorbike/carparts scattered all over their front lawn, the place REEKED! You could smell it all the time and summer was worse. They used to brawl like nothing else and always turned the music up load to try and 'hide' it! Yeah right...
But the worst was the dogs. The had some huge hound that barked and howled continually in their back yard and a stupid little yappy mutt in their front yard that yapped continually. And then the stupid yappy thing had puppies! The yappy thing and it's puppies used to come over to my front yard right under my window and yap.
We tried asking so many times for them to keep it down, even went through the local council and nothing worked.
I worked for the ambos then and was suffering massive sleep deprivation which doesn't make me a very nice(or rational) person.
One day, i cracked. The stupid thing was on my front door step and making a hell of a racket. I'd done 2x16 hour nights in Drummoyne, near Sydney and was hammered.
I started yelling at Steve(dickhead next door) who was in his front yard to get his f*#king dog before I broke it's stupid neck. He laughed at me so I stormed out the front and the stupid dog snarled and lunged at me. Now, this will sound terrible cause I love animals but i booted the fucking thing so far across the deck and when Steve came over yelling at me, I grabbed my son's cricket back and offered politely at the top of my lungs to cave his skanky houso, druggie head in!!
What can i say, he brought out the best in me dunno
Needless to say, we moved house.

Reminds me of before I was old and brave, yeah right.
I lived in a house with large backyard and two huge bull mastiffs which if anyone knows can be such absolute sooks to humans but hate other animals. Well the neighbour was a commission house single mother with a tribe of snotty nose kids, one day one of her many new animals, a kitten climbed the fence and my bitch Zelga had a meal in a minute flat. I knocked on the door and explained and offered to buy a new one but she brushed it off while dancing around her kitchen obviously very stoned and drunk while her kids looked at me blank faced.
Needless to say, two days later I had a neighbourhood of bikies threatening me and my dogs over the back fence with axes, guns and abusive language. I kept my dogs in my laundry for three weeks then high tailed it to coward land.

just a small statment the dogs are not at fault as frustrating as it can be its the owners neglect that make then annouing and piss you off i to have been on the end of threats to the piont af having one of my dogs stolen and the police said they could do nothing so i took it in to my own hands and i followed the person every where he went, i knew he had my dog and i wasn't about to give up on him after five days i became his worst night mare with frustration i found my dogs collor sitting on his back seat in his car and i just lost it ,lets just say that after i had finished panel beating his car he did not need a key to get in, a guy walked over to me with a dog on lead and asked me what i was doing , well the dog he had just picked up from the seller was mine and i got him back, but the car never returned to the road again. a sweet victorysticking out tongue
