some people get lucky! but for the majority of us, we look at this as a way to meet other people that we would other wise never have the chance to meet and chat to and thats as far as it goes, especially if they are a million miles away from you! There are some really awesome people here, but as far as relationships go..... No i have yet to meet the right Man! This is a great way to chat with people from all over the world, but as far as dating,well my advice would be stick close to home so you can at least meet up with them, and best of luck.

Yeah I like that analogy , I tend to feel its a bit more like an all you can eat smogeous board...always looking at the buffet without ever really checkin out whats on the plate in front of you !!!
But in saying that Ive met some great guys , had loads of dates & I gotta say im reallyenjoying dating again .

Yawn yawn soooo its great to be getting wined & dined again .Am I sad ive not met my Mr right yet...not really in the meantime Im enjoyin the dating in time it will happen but if ya neva go ya neva know .
I make a point of only dating, chatting to men who are logistically viable , well really whats the point ?

Agree with kizzy there totally...I've met some wonderful people from these sites made great friends along the way. I look at it like a social friend finding tool...if 'the one' comes along great..if not..still have great friends

we are already lucky we have all met others who will listern when your having a bad day or momemt and try to help each other trough it .
we are sharing our good days to .

You refer to some people on this dating site as your friends. How are they the same and different to friends you have in real time life?

real life friends know everything about you.. they see you angry, upset, happy and all the things in between... they know what your like with your family and friends and complete strangers on real life... online friendships are just made from the small snippet of what you see as the person determined by what they choose to say and by what they choose to share of themselves online.. but as we all know.. what someone decides to tell you about themselves online is not necessarily true.. :)

maybe a good way to test this theory would be to get a 'real life' friend to come online and see how much of themselves they decide to reveal to people on here.. and see how easily people are fooled or convinced that the person is who they actually portray themselves to be..

so is it really a real friendship or a 'pretend one' ?? each person is different and has different views on this I guess

i'm yet to realise online dating, so far i've only experienced online flowering, flirting, winking, messaging, and foruming. but i do consider those who partake in those activities with me as online friends. as blondeaozichick said, online friends are different to real life friends, but whilst online they serve a purpose as company when there are no real lifers about

Well as far as it go's i havn't met that special someone online but im not going to give up just yet; though i have met some rather decent people on here for whom id like to consider as friends, they listen to my problems, i listen to their's, just talk about random stuff etc, in the end it all counts as being lucky if you ask me.

Haven't found that special grinding partner how ever can say have met a good smart funny interesting friend..

i have found on CS SITE that if your looking for someone if your not a goodlooking guy you have no chance...i have had countless IM windows open and then close no replies with mail...so got friend too put profile up saying same as me...he gets flowers mail answered IM's its a shame cause lot off people are missing out.
