I had a thread similiar ages ago but I had a quick search now and can't find it. dunno

Anyhoo, I am having my 30th next July and was talking to a friend today and she asked if I had booked the venue. Well, no. I live in a small town and things seem to book wayyyyyyy ahead so I thought I best pull finger out and get planning.

I don't need to plan the whole shindig now, but a rough theme is what I need to know, so then I can book venue accordingly. Thing is though, I don't know what theme I want.

Can you hit with some themes please? I would much appreciate it kiss

I will even send you an invite if your nice tongue

Party is winter, and I live South so it has to be indoors. That is the only tip I can give. lol

So, what would be a fab theme to have? What parties have you been to where the themes were super cool fun and what were they?

I would love a karaoke night and hire a machiney thing and we can all make dicks of ourselves, but I don't know if that would be a goer lol..

Ideas please my fellow party animals. cheers

Well I had a Vicars and Tarts party for my 40th which was quite entertaining!! haha seeing one of my brothers dressed up as a nun was funny.. red said he looked like george negus in drag.. and he did!! rolling on the floor laughing

have been to others as well..

accident and emergency ward.. various costumes ranging from my mate marvin dressed up as a nurse (who happened to get pulled over by the cops on the way to the party AND made to get out the car once they realised how he was dressed!! he said they couldn't stop laughing as he made a really ugly woman rolling on the floor laughing to another friend with tyre marks across his body.. besides.. playing doctors and nurses is always fun!! grin

leather and lace is always good.. gives those of us with leather fetishes the chance to show off our wares devil

also..

school days/st trinians

movie characters

a letter from the alphabet .. like 'B' etc

mods and rockers

gangsters and molls

clowns

medieval

playboy mansion

sports teams or sporting legends

hollywood legends eg james dean, marilyn monroe, clint eastwood etc

fairytale characters

ok.. I'll shut up now but you get the idea grin

Ive just had my 35th amd my fab theme was "Tribute 2 Michael Jackson".

Drinks first then the funniest in everyone came out!

I made MJ badges for everyone and fancy door prizes, MJ Quizzes with the answered plastered over the house (outdoor).

Ppl where split into 2 groups and hounded them with q's (that were easy) groups had to sing a MJ song 1 minute and do the moonwalk etc.

They wore MJ afro's, 50's - 90's dress, red jackets, white gloves, glam & gliiter, black & white faces etc

Decorated the outdoors with garden lights candles & the disco ball with disco lights.

Fingerfoods were a delight. BYO drinks.

Music was all mixed include Jackson 5 & MJ best of. Great response everyone had a great time and then all headed off to kareoke to the pub.

Book vehicles to cater the night all safe and well.

Fab Night!

thumbs up

Funked Up Character - from any fairy-tale story. e.g. cinderalla, wears a pumpkin dress and glass slippers, well you hitch up the pumpkin dress get rid of the glass slippers and you replace it with the big chunky pulp boots or prince charm is punked up with the big bling blings and the comes in as a pimp - prince charles. you choose any fairy-tale character but you just punk it up....you would be surprised on what comes of that night, i attended one and it was great, people imaginations went wild.

Just a thought dunno cheering cheering

I sooooo want to have a pyjama party one day.. But my birthday is in December and it's usually stinking hot.. And I'd also love to have some sort of a tropical theme with leis (I think that's how you spell it) made of frangipanis - oh heaven!!
singlemilf79 brisbane, Queensland Australia
ok i think maybe theme it with a costume party but people have to come dressed as something starting with your first intial of your name... EG: mine would be M so marylin monroe or maryln manson... Get the idea

Or something dirty, could be garbage, a fly, a pig as the saying goes dirty 30....

Just a few ideas if they help great to hear, Anywho have a fab birthday
