Ralf74: I have to admit it is a mental barrier for me. I am not sure why I feel it is an issue but I really don't want anyone younger than myself or over 10 yrs older. I think it is the generation thing. All I know is that I have been a different person myself from decade to decade with different stages and experiences in life. I wouldn't judge anyone else for it though, it's just not for me.

I'm beginning to think that it's not the physical age in years that is important but the mental age.. Although in saying that my preference is for someone around about the same age but a few years older - which is more so a maturity thing than anything else.. Definitely don't want a toy boy or someone old enough to be my father - just my equal..

Age does not matter, as it all depends on the two, that is in a relationship. If you love each other and want a relationship to form then go for it, as it is your life and no one can tell you how to live your life, just be carefull and take time in forming the relationship and follow your heart and think befor you take the next step. All that I can say is good on you and all the best in your future

age doesn't matter if it is ment to be age will not be a barrier

for me it is mentle age then age apperance
, some men at the age of 40 look 30 and some look much older like 60, on here i think that there are few lies being entered for the age but beuty is in the eye of the beholder

I used to be married to a guy 10 years older than me, and age was not the problem....the nationality difference did become a big problem though.

However......I have a little teensy problem being come onto by guys who are way way way younger than me. Just don't seem to be able to get my head around the whole 'cradle snatching' concept

Ive recently been approached by a man 34 I am 45 nearing 46.
He is a very together 34 owns his own home good career etc Never married no children ,he cannot have children ,but likes them .
I am going to meet him on friday for lunch.
Ok so my question to you all is
does an age gap of over ten years really matter, has anyone been involved with a younger or older person,what are the benifits(apart from the obvious)lol, what are the downsides.
This man says he is looking for a long term relationship.
& the fact that I am older actually appeals because i am settled & Know what I want..
Ok so there it is ...

well actually I found out he was a tosser soo wouldnt matter what age he was he wasnt gettin a third date with me !!!
He didnt take it real well ..

Age does have one advantage. Wisdom... wise enough to see what is coming, or where we have been before. Some experiences we dont want to live again and some we do.
My 34yr old was a control sex freak and as much as she was lovely person there are parts i do not want to remember.
