Age does not matter, I know 50 year old men who remain and will always remain emotionally stunted and lacking in any sort of wisdom.

Its all about the person, with a few obvious exceptions, like 45 year olds dating 18yr olds. I think once you reach around the age 30, its all down to the individual and age is really just semantics.

I do know alot of older woman dont like the idea of dating younger men.

But I dont think it has to do with not being able to connect on a similar level. I think more often than not its insecurity on the womans part. Woman like to feel young and fresh, might be kinda difficult if there is a permanent reminder of your age on your arm 24/7.

Stop worrying about what society will think and see him for what he probably is, a well rounded man, with an open mind and heart.

Yes i see your point BUT when the woman is on the wrong side of 45 and you keep getting harassing emails from 18 &19 yr olds it then becomes offensive.....i am not in anyway closed off to dating a guy 5-10yrs either way as long as their head (the top one) is in the right place, but anymore than that is a BIG no no thumbs up

I have a cousin who has no hangups with dating guys 20years her junior, even more.

It's not my thing though. There are some wonderful younger guys around, but I think I would rather see them hanging with someone closer to their own age than with an old broad like me.

On the other end of the scale, I have no problems with 10 years older than me either, but just figure I would rather see what my own age group has to offer before getting desperate and hitting the 50's laugh

Age gaps are a personal thing. Some are affected by it, some are not. Having been married to an older guy I would have to say it doesn't bother me...I am just getting old and fussy, I suppose.

Can't say that the sex life was affected at all, as the older half was a male nympho (is there a word for that ?)...nationality, nationality, nationality. Three words that can affect a relationship.

There are some bridges that can't be crossed...and I don't care what other people think. I have seen enough interratial marriages crumble...I have seen enough aussie women severely under the thumb because their foreign hubby comes from a nation where the men are the boss. The other fizzer is religion.

To sum up...it is best to stick to your own kind.

The other fizzer is religion.the age thing, its just a number, if you asked me if id rather win 36 dollars or 46 dollars id say 46. with partners, 5o would be a little old for me cause id be 50 and she'd be in blue rinse. my brother is 13 months older than me and dated a lady 50 and they got on fine, common interest is a key, and a zest for life. can agree control freaks, religeous, or racial things make a difference, but it all comes down to being happy and feeling good about yourself, and age gaps have nothing to do with that.then i could say your only as young as the woman or man you are feeling, but i wont.
