It's there to cut down on skin to skin friction. The friction between the thighs and between the arm and side of chest as we walk. That is what humans do ... walk. Our method of hunting was to walk down faster game. Sounds strange but that is why our eyes see detail for tracking. We used to walk animas until they were exhausted and then weak enough for us to kill them.

We are not so patient anymore.

I am vegetarian. Hunting cabbages doesn't take me too long. I guess I don't need all that body hair, then.
