Wylde: P'raps.
Possible too that both genders limit options further with expectations, preconceptions, cultural norms; and that most debilitating of all relationship dampeners, responding to judgment and views of friends and family.
There are women here in the ACT who "wear" their men like a "handbag", and equally shallow men who "see" their women through the eyes of their mates.
Twisted values.
I mean, isn't it possible we might widen our options by being open to more choices?
For one thing, there's no argument that the person we love is the one whose character and characteristics, whose appearance, and whose quirks are all things that we find fascinating and lovable. And this so often despite previous prejudices and immature fantasies.
If a bloke limits his choices by wanting only a nubile woman with large American style mammaries then he's already condemning himself to a small field of potential partners.
Perhaps there's a female parallel in terms of identifying ratios of
"eligible" males?

I think your absolutly correct ! I feel this is the direct result of the next potential partner is just a click away... before internet dating we didnt know exactly how many single lonely people were out there sooo when we met someone we felt like it was worth exploring so many just think mm hes too short or tall or fat or bald or dark or light its ridiculous!!!I had 1 guy I met actually say to me hey sorry I prefer tall women!!! WTF! iM 5 ' 3 INCHES not a midget This was suprising as we had chatted extensivly webcammed & talked on the phone we clicked but he had decided tall women were what he was seeking superficial I know but goes to show !
This is happening on both fronts there is simply too many choices & we are all getting choosey !
