Ralf74: Regardless of your age, experience or education, what is the career you would most love to pursue?

Though I sort of fell into it I'm in my dream job, Nursing. Been at it for 22 years and I'm back at Uni studying to go further.
Get to help people get better or sometimes to leave more peacefully.
95% of my colleagues are female (not always a good thing).
Can travel and work world-wide (at least once children are grown).

Other ideal jobs would be as a bra fitter (no, not so I can look at boobs all day) I see enough of them at work but so many of then are trapped in bra's that are very badly fitted.

Either that or a table cloth.
You get laid three times a day
And pulled off after every meal!

Wow it is awesome to see a few out there doing what they love in life. It really makes a difference doing something that you actually enjoy. love

I like your take on the table cloth too, I am a bit too lumpy to be a table cloth myself but in saying that, I could use a good bra fitter, they are all farkin useless!laugh

Must admit I'm toying with the idea of masters then maybe PhD. There is a good chance I'll be offered honours which cuts down the amount of time required to do PhD by a few years.
Great thing about Nursing is all higher degrees are fully funded so no bills or HECS.
With a masters I could become a Nurse Practitioner very useful if going to remote areas.
Either that or get a job on a cruise ship and see if I can pick up that wealthy widows that might be out there.

your career choices are choice lol I mean it sounds a great and interesting thing. I also want to work in the medical industry as a doctor in a medical research lab, and maybe a practitioner too.

I think contributing to the community in a useful way will be good because I believe in good things for good people. that and science is ever so interesting.

Congratulations Shelley!!bouquet Keep up the good work!!

I, too, am in my ideal profession as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Went to Uni at 40yrs and finished at 50, working and raising 3 kids. Best thing I've ever done (apart from being a Mum)!

It's never to late to turn around and do what you want!
