Your not going to like this but your system is a bit too old for a memory upgrade. Its really not going to help that much.

Being 6 years old it would most likely take PC133 or SDRAM type, the ram your reffering to is for newer systems less than 2 years old.

The only real way to tell is open up the box and take out the RAM chip. Then you'll need someone to identify the type.

Age aint the issue... the issue is how much memory the motherboard will support... and that depends on the individual motherboard... but the older motherboards do tend to take less memory.

Even a 6yr old MoBo would most likely take at least 2x 512Mb sticks... but as the expert said, it would be SDRAM. wink
