spudly_dudly: So, you've just ducked down to the servo to fill up the car and this absolute goddess is finishing up on the other pump.

She's about to go in and pay when she glances over at you.

You smile and say something like, "Fill-her-up and check the oil"

To which she replies, "Sorry I don't work here"

Unsurprised, you say, "Ok, I'll fill her up...you check the oil"

And with that rabbit-in-the-headlights look she replies, "Ok...pop the bonnet"

Anyway to cut a long story short, you get her phone number (and a free oil check-up). Any suggestions on how long a guy should wait to call a woman after he get her number?



You have got to be talking about a blonde chick rolling on the floor laughing I mean, seriously, she checks the oil ??? rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing Don't leave it too long to ring, or she won't even remember going to the fuel station !

So says the brunette........yay

Interesting question! Call her straight away and look desperate, or wait a while? I'd call her straight away (while she's there) to check the number! Then she has yours too so she has no excuse not to call! Isn't there like an unwritten and unspoken 3 day rule? I'd call her back within three days and go from there! Let her know you're interested and wait for her to call back! heart wings

Phone it immediately! BEFORE she leaves your sight! After giving a free oil check she my rcover enough to think, "This guy has me sussed! I'm not giving him my real number. Now what was Ugly Betty's number?"

On the other hand you could act real cool and not call her for days. Of course you may find the numer engaged all the time because by that time some guy who offered to check her oil, tires and do a quick service will be calling her.


Well, gotta go. Gotta go and fill up.
