Shell225: Well if such intellectual reading as ....

Why the one you fancy never fancies you.. Murphy's Laws of Love,

is to be believed then...

Our first reaction is from our hormones. Our cerebral cortex came along later and tried to make sense of love. The other things that lead us to love (apart from smell) is clear skin, symmetrical eyes, excellent poise, and the same inter-occular distance as each other.

Having said that and crushed all the romantics.. I think that over the net one call fall into interest, into lust, into friendship, I do believe that love comes later after meeting when all of the above fall into play.

there is love that can be found between a man and a woman, or a woman and a man to satisfy all those equal opportunists.

there is love that can be found between members of the same sex

these two are one in the same kind of love, one that is enhanced with sexual intimacy

there is love that can be found between a parent and a child, and between siblings, and also other family members.

this is a love forged through the closeness of a family unit.

there is a love that can be found between close friends, either of the same or opposite genders.

is it possible that as the internet becomes more and more prevalent in our lives that there is a new form of love developing that doesn't require physical interaction? a new virtual love?. it's still love, but like the varieties above, has it's own place and intensity in our lives

gawd , i have a couple of drinks and then i start dribbling a whole lot of philosophical shite

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing laugh rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing laugh

No............Lust yes, Love no. Love I believe is built over time not over the internet. And speaking from experience, what ones seems like on the internet can be very opposite to what they are in real life.

Twodawgz: Well it ain't happened to me but i don't believe it is possible to fall in love with someone you never met face to face. I do believe you can fall in love with the person that they are portraying to you, the person you might want them to be or think them to be, the person that is online or on the phone maybe be similar to the one you have conjured up in your psyche , but certainly not the same person as when your standing face to face with them, exploring and interacting and feeling...love is not something that grows through emails or phone conversations. It is something that requires touch and passion in one another's eyes..
to be touched by love you need to be touched..
Smart man thumbs up

Don't disagree with this at all. Nothing like a spark when you look at someone to know that they are the right one. Needless to say that I am in love with a picture (yes, could be anyone) and in love with the words that he writes. Huggy smileys at 6.30am are better than nothing too ! BUT the real test will come when we do eventually get to meet...keeping my fingers crossed. smitten
