MellieMels: Hey gang just thought I'd put the question out there & get both (well hopefully) the male & female opinion on how many is too many when it comes to sexual partners.. Is there a difference between the cringe factor for men & women in your opinion & does it differ with age & what is an average number these days for say a 20yo, 30yo, 40yo and 50yo.. Do you have a magic number where you just cringe & are turned off or are you sometimes left thinking well alright I'm in with a chance or it doesn't really bother you at all whether the count is at 1, 10, 100 or 1000.. And does it make a difference to you whether you are bonking, dating or planning on spending your life with that person - just curious to hear what other peoples opinions & thoughts are..

Seeing as how I am here with the vague hope of finding someone special, I would rather not be one of the 100+ casual bed warmers.



Would prefer to meet someone who has been married before (didn't do the wrong thing...ha ha), knows what marriage should be about, and wants the same things as me.



The order would likely be.....dating, then bonking, then planning a life together.

so long as it's safe clean and legal, the number of sex partners a person engages with never needs to be anybody elses business, but once your in a committed relationship, unless both parties agree otherwise, it would probably be a good idea to stop collecting sex partners.

if you dont practice safe sex habits and contract some debilitating or life threatening sexually transmitted ailment, then you've probably just had that one too many

Hi Guys If a 20 something yr old told me they had had ova 50 odd partners well then i would think HOLY SHITE!but as people get older depending on the situation they have been in then its obvious that they would hopefully have had a few more partners than the average 20 or 30 something, It doesnt worry me at all, i mean if i met a guy who was single in his 40s you would expect him to have had a few partners, if not, well then wats wrong with that picture????Wat's past is past and if your really into someone and they you, then you should stay away from that question, im not interested in what they have done in the past, it's the NOW that matters, as long as they have had exceptionally protected sex and been careful then wats the problem? You can always have the old tests done as many people are choosing to have these days.

Well all i can add is its up to the individual to have as many or as few sex partners as they want. It's up to them to decide what's right. I don't see any magic number that's morally right or wrong and I don't see any reason to judge anyone else's behavior by my own individual standards.
