You got me there, H - sounds like a Native Indian tribe....

They were a little-known progressive rock group in the 70's - only made one record & then their record company went broke and they disbanded - if you can get hold of a copy, do - great stuff (It's called Tonton Macoute. Some of their music reminds me of The Moddy Blues, and some is just straight-out jazz.

They are named after the Haitian Secreat Police!

Katie Melua - "In My Secret Life" - this is from a CD of Leonard Cohen covers I got free with Mojo magazine - I had never heard this song before - it's beautiful, and I LOVE her voice!

I knew I'd heard that before - there's a great film called 'the Serpent and the Rainbow' and the Haitian Secret Police are mentioned in that.

Katie Melua - beautiful voice, even more beautiful girl - whether it's your scene or not, she's a great songwriter
