Yes my children it is true,"god is impossible"there is no way no how no possibility that such a thing could exist,it is impossible on every level we want to think of.Those who want it to be real simply don,t think about the impossibleness of it all.They instead just leap blindly into the madness and BELIEVE.Children everyone.To grow up you first must face your own mortality,anybody who believes there is a god and a heaven is still a child and you need to grow up.The planet needs you to grow up so we don,t talk ourselves into such stupid things as the end times and nuclear war.Every religion thinks that they alone see the light and the rest live in ignorance,anybody with a brain can see that that is a stupid philosophy,Science requires proof and repeatability,others can do the experiment and get the same result.Religion require prejudice ignorance and isolation.So if you want to live in the real world,face reality,grow up,there are a few facts of life that you need to accept.There is no god or heaven,you will not live forever,we are at all times responsible for our behaviour,we can,t blame the drugs or the devil or I,m just young,you must take resposibility for your actions at all times no excuses!

the only flaw i see in that statement is, that ALL gods must be included in the fold , not just the christian god. other than that , i'm converted

I believe that belief & faith should not be used as an excuse & that responsibility for ones actions is right , however that for people to grow they need to deny the ir faith is just arrogent !
People should be able to believe what ever they want , People like you who see some need to denounce others for their beilefs shows me the type of person you are!
Your are as bad as the bible bashers who try & shove their beliefs down others throats !
Many people find solice in their faith , who are you to tell them differently!

But they do - most atrocities have been perpetrated to either defend or usurp one religious belief or another, and most wars have some form of religious connotation or connection.

I agree, on a personal level every individual has the right to believe whatever they choose, they do not however have the right to enforce their beliefs upon others nor act upon their beliefs to the detriment of others. I personally believe that all religions are simply cults who choose to worship differing 'gods' regardless of their status in our society. I think it is disgusting that any religion, as a congregation, has any bearing on our politics and communities. I would never deny any individual the right to believe what they wish. I have not baptised my kids into any religion as that is not my choice to make for them, it is theirs.

Well I'm with you, by and large, but perhaps not for the same reasons - I rationalised it to myself when I was 13.
