Ive been away for quite a while and i can see ive mist alot. Bullies are very much detested, weither it be in school, home, or even in forums....it is an act carried out by cowards as a few people have said, have issues in their past they have yet to deal with, usually being on the receiving end of being bullied by themselves...............or perhaps they are just insecure about themselves and try to make themselves feel better by be littling others?

Bullies always get what they dish out in return and the backlash of such things end up worse for the bulli.

All in all bulies should grow up, get a life or at the very least, take a certaint perscription drug to help with their ego's.

and in a large number of cases it's because their mothers breast fed them till they were 15, and once they got an interest in the opposite sex, their mothers got this jealousy thing happening which sent the whole mother son/daughter relationship well off the rails. i blame the system actually, for not picking up these bully tendencies in kindergarten,and having the child committed to an institution that would, have corrected these wayward behavioural patterns and iron out the issues.

define a bully? does everyone have different opinions on what makes a bully?.. does it depend on your relationship with the so-called bully or the so-called victim?.. if you had a relationship with either one of them would that influence your attitude towards the other one? is starting a thread about bullies that is directed at a certain person or persons (although covert) considered an act of bullying as well?

I had 2 friends at school,

One was anglosaxon and the other chinese. The first was walking behind the second, smilling at me and making "chinese eyes"

I hit him in the face and made his nose bleed.

Am I a bully?

A physical bully is easy to define - it's someone who's 'comeuppance' is long overdue.

As for non-physical; well I would reckon that's harder to define.

Where does persuasion, the old 'emotional blackmail', a bit of coercion; where do they stop, and bullying start ?

Where does 'pressurising' stop and bullying start ?

If you give someone an ultimatum, take it or leave it, do it or else - is that bullying or legitimate pressure to try to secure what you want ? Does the end justify the means ?

If you 'can't stand the heat', should you really 'get out of the kitchen' or should you 'douse the flames' ? For me, much would depend on who's kitchen it was.

I note the past tense 'had 2 friends at school' - presumably you only had the one afterwards ?

Funny I remember a dating show called MAN O MAN gee it was good Rob Guest that singer that just died was compare.All these yummy guy being thrown in the pool the shortest got voted out first it makes that fit into the bullying thread I think.Time goes so quickly.
