blondeaozichick: define a bully? does everyone have different opinions on what makes a bully?.. does it depend on your relationship with the so-called bully or the so-called victim?.. if you had a relationship with either one of them would that influence your attitude towards the other one? is starting a thread about bullies that is directed at a certain person or persons (although covert) considered an act of bullying as well?
something to think about maybe
A physical bully is easy to define - it's someone who's 'comeuppance' is long overdue.
As for non-physical; well I would reckon that's harder to define.
Where does persuasion, the old 'emotional blackmail', a bit of coercion; where do they stop, and bullying start ?
Where does 'pressurising' stop and bullying start ?
If you give someone an ultimatum, take it or leave it, do it or else - is that bullying or legitimate pressure to try to secure what you want ? Does the end justify the means ?
If you 'can't stand the heat', should you really 'get out of the kitchen' or should you 'douse the flames' ? For me, much would depend on who's kitchen it was.
