Yep, i have learnt we have somthing that we have that ppl are after and it not usually cash. Its an identity...mainly thaey need it to cover someones thats been worn out or to rip someone else off.

They all seem to be foreign, but I am sure they have some Aussie connections somewhere.

Had this guy email me twice today didn't even realise it! he looked quite blond in pic but they always say they have black hair and brown eyes.They really do rip off other peoples profiles he got a few ladies in from Aus I quickly warned them then gave him a 0 while I was there.This one did not start out asking for my email they are getting smarter but not much.
I think they are breeding like rabbits soon they will outnumber the genuine members.

I wonder how many scammers email other scammers without realising they have done it.. that would be interesting , both trying to drain money from each other.

I am starting to get more mail from out of country profiles.. guess one day soon when i have time i'll get right into a convo with one of them , see if i can push it further than i did with the last one ( they typed too slowly for me lol )

I get lots of these characters. Many are from America lately, and have had some outright pests from Oz as well recently, not scammers but a couple of local nutters.

Scammers just send a usually slightly disjointed email, and always very nonspecific about your profile. They are getting clever, as some do appear in your "viewed" folder, so it is a worry as they do become more clever.

One scammer still stalks me on yahoo, but I have it so he can't seem me when I'm online. But I can see him. It's been months now. I know he is a scammer because he had started to chat on yahoo with me, but I was really suspicos, even thugh he wasn't one of these people that asked to chat offline after the first email exchange. It had taken many emails lter. But thngs didn't add up, and I grew very suspicious, time differences were way out from where he was supposed to be at the time he was writing and stuff like that. Oh, he was widowed, now that is a favourite with some guys, you know poor widow left with young son, who happens to be looked after by his parents who live in Oz, but he works,,,errr...somewhere far away. So I reported the ID to CS Mods. Yep, they wrote back that he was indeed a scammer. You should have heard the crap that followed when I told him that, and the explanation he gave as to how come his profile suddenly disappeared off CS. Then he claimed he had pretty well fallen in love with me. Imagine that, a scammer falling in love, jeez, what next???

Then he wrote a long apologetic email admitting to his scamming, but that he now really liked me. As I said, he STILL stalks me on yahoo messenger, and once when I was off guard after re-installing the darned thing, he caught me online and wanted to start relating again, and still so apologetic. I never replied of-course!

im havn the same but this time from woman between 28 to 40 their posten up their profiles as livn in usa london france even tamworth they ask for ur email and in no time their telln u how a parent has tragically died and they are now livn in africa with relatives who treat them badly ,i got one this morning sayn shed like to get to know me better my reply was simple if u tell me ur livn in nigeria do not botha chatn and belive it or not this girl that looks american is in nigeria same story

The best way is to google some info on where they are apparently living , ask them questions.. like i did on page 1 , asking about the golden guitar , which was in the town they apparently lived in... if they dont know the local tourist attractions or any place of significance in the town they apparently live in , then thats a pretty good cause to think they are a scammer

iv figured this sob out a while back but im enjoyn playn them i got another one this morning dont no how they got my email goes by the name katie harris,sent me couple of photos looks american white about 26-32,askd the usual i want to no more about u and so on,anyway my reply was i dont remember givn u my email where u from if u tell me ur livn in nigeria seriously piss off guess what yep nigeria

yeh i like the one that ask for u home phone num to call you ....... yeh right lol prepaid mobile only give out. i have found that i dont get scammers since i dont have im on any more. if they have a dieing relative give up internet and help them with these funds

It is not only happening in your country we are bombarded with them here in UK. They are targeting ladies alone and much older than they are. They seem to think that we are desperate and fall for the hunk in the photograph, which is a bitmap shot and of course not of them at all. We get the opening letter always the same and it is so easy to spot it. I got tired of it all the first thing I do is look, read and report and thats it for the time being. Then they sign up again and back to normal business. It is all too good to be true, they get mixed up with the different ladies that they are mailing and a lot of the time get your name wrong. I did fall for it initially and when he started to write to me in Greek, and then in Spanish got me wondering what was going on. Yes the request for money came it was only just this certain amount, sure, I do not think so! I am not so vain as to think that a hunk of 41 with a figure to kill for wants a 52yr old when he could get a 25yr old. Rotten swines, there is only one punishment good enough for them, but cannot tell you on here. Good Luck Ladies and Be Careful!

I think I just got a scammer email I think its my first one from memory

his profile says he is in victoria australia
his speel in the email says he lives in virginia in US
he gave me his email addy (which is a hotmail.uk address) AND his yahoo ID
says his wife died 9 yrs ago and his has one daughter named laura
and he believes in god


ummmmmmm.. you think he may be a scammer or am I being a tad paranoid?

well most scammers ask for some kind of money i get quite a few but just ignore for now, see if ya get another one from him.
