Have got this question 3 times yesterday evening… Not that it was the first time… Actually it’s often the second question people ask, right after “How are you?”, 30 seconds into a first chat…

So I’m dying with curiosity: why do people want to know that? Are they employers looking for staff? Are they eager to offer a better opportunity straight away? Trying to figure out whether I’d be able to pay my meal in case they’d ask me out?..

Have you ever asked someone what they are doing for living? If yes, why?

Hi Tulefel

I can't say remember too much about being asked what I do for a living.

Maybe it says alot about a person the job they do? I mean if a man asked a woman what she did, and she said a lumberjack, I wonder how they would feel?

Hope you're well old girl.

Yes, very often I get the impression that they don’t know what to talk about… which gives a way for the question “Why did you contact me, dear sir?”

But they usually close their window without as much as “Good bye”. Oh, no, now I’m lying… One actually cared to call me “Touchy cow” before cancelling the session

'Touchy cow?' Did you laugh?

I remember when I used to have my IM on, that there were some oddballs that invited me for a chat.

I had one guy who called me 'a snob and that you will spend the rest of your life alone'

Amusing.

Oh, so the guy I sent my bank account details to, was after my money? Ithought he was going to advise me on my investments and that he would make me money.

I would pity the man that tried to scam me. I say pity, as the word pity has a streak of disrespect running through it.

And I am not very good with pity, it brings out the nasty side in me.

Morning you!

Oh sass. I am sorry.

I never understand people who take such risks, driving is the most dangerous task we undertake each day and so many people take risks.
