I just checked out this new website called Wolframalpha.com

WolframAlpha and Wolfram Alpha) is an answer-engine developed by Wolfram Research. It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from structured data, rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine might gift

Fascinating!

You can enter
numbers,
cities,
christian names,
colours,
rivers,
mountains ect

and get all the statistical data you need to know cheering

Users submit queries and computation requests via a text field. Wolfram|Alpha then computes answers and relevant visualizations from a knowledge base of curated, structured data. Alpha thus differs from semantic search engines, which index a large number of answers and then try to match the question to one.wow

There is some "diff" smile

Try entering your christian name,
and see what the statistics say
how many were born in what year
and other info

I have been using this for while now. Not as my main search engine but it can relieve the boredom of the day. For example silly things like "how much wood can a wood chuck chuck". Try it! Quite a sensible answer.
Plus Wiki is in trouble.....
