What is the fastest and safest route to travel by car from Geneva back up to Germany? Trying to avoid the passes and notorious snake roads up and down the mountains.

Yes, I know... take the train or a plane, but that's not an option.

Has anyone done this trip by chance? ... or am I barking up the wrong tree and simply have to deal with a long, tedious drive?

Thanks!

laugh alright wise-guy.
What do you mean, what passes... Last time I went through Austria to Italy and had to cross some passes and it's a pain in the ass esp. if there's still snow up there. If there's an autobahn going straight through (as you said) then no problemo... I think I just need to buy a map instead of relying on the flaming GPS (which has routed me through some very unlikely areas already).

still snow up there? are you pulling a cracker? It's over 35C down here on the ground .. Just do what Lago says .. go that route and it'll be dandy ..

Here's another idea...do the trip on an elephant..lovely views, fresh air, and that swaying motion.....The only down-side is, Switzerland being anal about cleanliness, you have to take very large poop bags and a shovel. Please book at the website below:
