My first holiday far from home, early teen, with my parents, down in Ljubljana, meeting all these great kids from the local Karate club doing labour in the fields.

That was in Ljubljana and Split, 1984

In Ljubljana, no more than perhaps 3 days, the rest at the beach-camping in Split.

I wanted to see the city again, I remember some great squares, parks and impressive architecture. I am not sure it all survived the change of time and political turmoil, but still, I will be back to retrace my first steps on foreign soil.

Also, in Ljubljana I bought this drink made of grape juice. I drank too much of it and my stomach got all upset with me. The one and only time so far I got problem with any drink or food anywhere. Guess I learned the lesson.
