Sad news - a good couple of weeks ago a few dozen Whales beached and died on our Cape Coast.

And then ... the news of the whales in South Africa, thats totally weird, huh? I read and heard about the ones in Australia, but sad if its also happening in SA now. We used to only get the odd few now and again. Something strange must be going on ..... as usual.

Ah so sad - I think it was 38 Whales that beached at Kommetjie on The Cape Peninsula.

Hundreds of volunteers tried in vain to get them back to the deep sea. Three died and the rest had to be euthanised.

Happened a few times before in the the 1900's.

Scientists believe that it's got something to do with their navigation - I personally think it's a mystic thing...too abstract to try and explain - but heartbreakingly sad.
