I think that is bad enough....or am I wrong?

Well, thats sort-of like also asking if you`d date someone who`d had Shingles ... or Herpes cold-sores on their mouths...? Shingles leaves the Herpes virus dormant in a persons system (from what I have understood of this) ...... which is the same as the Herpes in mouth sores and genitals, and when there is an eruption the person can feel it coming on - and then only is it contagious ... not the times of its dormancy......

And its very easy to catch this virus and become a carrier - so would you condemn yourself to the life of a Leper if this happened to you?...... Like most virulent modern diseases, one has to get educated on how to care for oneself and for the health of others you care about.

Yes, there are no cure...for this STD...dormant or not its contageous...

Well, in those days, yes, that was the great protection! And they didn`t have rubber latex then either ... so maybe now-a-days..... the latex thingy, a full body latex suit, latex gloves, face mask, etc... and some disinfectant foam spray ... and one could avoid STD`s?.........

I think it's one of the hazzards of life - it's extremely common and they only way you can be sure of not dating someone with it is not to date at all. Even if you ask them, and even if they answer honestly, your date may be infected and not know it!

Quite, Smoky. I suffer from cold sores and they are the pits, the sun brings them out in me and they have made me poorly on occasion. I know the tingling sensation and the best stuff I have found is a liquorice balm. It does not solve the problem, but it takes that nasty painful tingling sensation out of it and as long as I change my toothbrush daily, I use my own towel, which I do anyway and flush away a tissue each time I use it and am vigilant about washing my hands and I don't perform oral sex during an attack, I am fine.
