In the great flu epidemic of last century bodies were being left out on the roads for collection every morning because the funeral parlours/doctors/hospitals could not cope with the amount of dead.
There were far less humans on the planet then too.
Now there are hardly any deaths .... a few hundred worldwide .... and LOTS of scientists playing with "things" in their laboratories.
I just had the flu - for 10 solid days - snot and phlegm, coughing like a banshee till I thought I was drowning in my own body fluids, having to sleep sitting upright, headaches, ear-aches, throat aches, loss of appetite ....... but I survived with NO medicines except a few herbal tinctures and some old fashioned treatment. NOW .... I got a functioning immune system that did what it was supposed to do .... innit? I`m alive, I survived.

The big difference with the swine 'flu, is that children seem to contract it more easily than the other strains. In the end, once any of the strains take hold, all that can be done is to stop everything, and let your body heal. And ususally it does.
Yes, I, too, had the real deal in 2002. I was the sickest I can remember. And I was in the middle of a real estaqte course, with exams on contract law, property law...I could only take one day off plus the weekend. Then sat for my last exam on the Tuesday. But I know I got so ill, because I was running myself ragged. And yet even under those gruelling conditions, my body still recovered well. And of-course, my body thankfully did its own healing.
Which makes it so incomprehensible, when a previously perfectly healthy young person, is suddenly struck down with one or other 'flu strains or worse, and the body never recovers.
