Hi, I got a moment between laundry loads and shopping...and cant resist this thread....!!!!

Having been an Amateur Dancer..... the Tango is just plain SEXY....and you got to know your partner well, because its all in the stance of the dance.

SENSUAL? That has to be the Rumba... its known as the Dance of Love.. its a slow 4beat, with a lot of "come hither", spurning, retrieval, slow sensuous movement and quick about-turns.

How I wish I had a Dance Partner!!!!!dancing dancing dancing

You all have a GREAT DAY... be back here soon.

dunno IF I could find "normal" dance classes near me, I would! Also BIG problem is at social classes.... there is ALWAYS a shortage of MALES! Lots of women like dancing.. . just not the men!

A problem for me here is I live in a Swiss "cow-town" (small village where they keep horses and cows in the middle of town). I did find a place here where the "Lindy Hop" was being taught..... but mostly women taking lessons.....shortage of voluntary male dancers!!!

crying Anyway, not a train-smash, I've had my best dancing days. And now and again I do manage to find a local to jump around with at the odd WineFest.... doing the local Folk-dance thing!dancing

What about BELLYDANCING! Heh? Anything more sensual than that?

For you information, shimmy (my nick) is a step in bellydancing, and it's the movement of the trembling flesh!

cheering

P.S. For those who don't know it, bellydancing = oriental dancing = egyptian dancing = middle eastern dance

I LOOOOOOVE DANCING !!!

And although salsa is my recent (and longest so far) love, I love all kinds of dancing that involves some rhythm (as oposed to 1-1-1-1-1-1 oom'tz ooom'tz ooo'mtz beat ;))

As Smoky said before, the difficult part is to find a male dance partner and for some dances it is just necessary ... Online solutions do not apply ;(

Flamenco is very passionate ...

I remember a couple of years ago I went to Paco de Lucia's concert in Poland, it took place in a big modernish church (the Parish thereof was an open-minded guy and often offered the church for some events 'cos the concert hall was missing in the town). Anyway, apart from several powerful guitarists, he had a male flamenco dancer performing with him. Gee... when the guy was dancing I think all the women thought about all but Holy Spirit devil
I would gladly go to such a concert any day!

And I could go on and on .... kiss

Men get put off dancing cause they have lost their natural style, and their main complaint seems to be that their feet or legs get sore! and that they feel stupid out on the dance floor!

So, they should all make an effort to take a few dance lessons with a GOOD Instructor who will show them how to just move properly. Once they learn that.... they will love it, just as much as women do.

And there is no better Babe Catcher for men than being able to dance properly.... Guaranteed!dancing

I used to be a dance insructor... Ballroom and Latin, so maybe a few "Online" basics here for the men to practice should be offered?

Any takers? Its all very very basic, just to show you how not to contort yourself and suffer agonies, just to get the rythm flowing... from the feet? Then you can put on your music, close the curtains, watch yourself in some reflective glass or mirror, and PRACTICE?

Good for girls too, tones the leg muscles, and works on the waistline. (It will require some very creative descriptive writing!)dancing dancing dancing dunno
