Well... I personally don't see a long life as something I'd like to have. A happy life - that's another matter :)

And the topic reminded me of what Faina Ranevskaya said once:

"Family can replace everything. So before starting a family, one should decide what's more important: family or everything."

"The rest of your life" can be a long time. In a certain light, too long :)

not necessarily the case. I have seen guys in their 80's partying in the party town of Ayia Napa in Cyprus. hey and this guy was getting plenty of attention from the younger ladies!! :) all this rubbish of good diet, no drinking, no smoking and a load of other stuff we are all told to avoid, some people just keep on partying and they are still dodging the old wooden box!!!

there is no hard or fast rule on how to live, just live and enjoy your life. only here once so make the best of it. being single brings a whole lot of stress that can be worse than a stressful relationship! and stress is a known killer!! at any age.

I get what you mean, some couples remain married for years but they can't stand each other.
Better to be together and live life to the fullest and if at some point you feel like moving on, then so u should be able to do so.
